Only just seen this post to be fair we all like to see a team full of the next generation of kids rather than a side of 11 oldies just wanting one final pay day. However as much as it's good to keep the young Uns especially when Cliff Bryne left there is times when maybe we lacked that older head in the team like a Gregan to instruct or bring a little experince. Fact Lockwood has been training at the club for sometime gives confidence when he does start or come having worked in training he will have a good idea of how the team play. Be on first team names with them all. He will have an idea of how each of them play.

Agree with you with an experinced manager would proberly come better, bigger expectations and proberly a bigger wage budget and as shown with some manager jobs for the boys. If we where in the same position now with say a Phil Brown or a Brian Horton I bet fans would both be on there backs. I look at the likes of Walsall and Orient as a working project at the moment.

Potentially this Saturday we could have is a strong bench with players who can hopefully come on and change a game if need be.

Since Brentford Mellor performance has improved not world class but has put a shift in and like all players on the team is prone to a mistake. Seems like a fair few fans just waiting for him to slip up and fail.

Having known Jeff for a good number of years and those here that know or see him Facebook know he his ways having a laugh and joke you very rarerly hear him moan or complain. Nor is Jeff the sort of guy who would do anything that would cause offence to anyone either. As for people having ago at him for wearing his Chicken Hat at the game he has done it for about 2 years and a lot of fans find funny built his own little fan base up over it. If people take offence to it they seriously need to look at themselves. No different to Big Tony wearing his Hulk Hogan costume with the exception Jeff does it each game or most.

If by luck we get Liverpool sometime again in one of the cups, maybe those restricted view seats which didn't go on sale could be set as side for a singer's section. At least people buying them know they won't have the best view but also know it where the singer's would be.

Just reading this thread now yes I know westy yes Westy likes a few beers, there was a running joke as he did not make it into the ground last time hence why he agreed to donate money to the playershare. I don't think Westy was that bad yes he went on about Gillingham. Merry however I have no need to create another account here now or ever btw i did mention to Ackey yesterday about changing my username.
