Not only is it bloody freezing but surely we could have an advantage if we play football the right way on the floor against big physical sides who want to throw the ball up in the air Gale force winds and teams not liking the cold, could if we play it right be like an extra man to is IMO What are others thoughts?

Great post o4u Realistically I think if we finish above 15th that's a hell of a job done and foundation to build on We shouldn't forget Johnson made bould decisions to take off bigger name players and not only a good feeling that a new manager does to fans but the squad by involving them all and rewarding hard work on the training ground Not many rookie managers would have left Baxter out after his return from suspension but he showed no one is bigger than the boss or the club... I see Gary Roberts gone from Swindon, was linked last year we have enough wingers but if I was LJ I may have made an enquiry if he knew that 4 weeks ago

He payed 12 games for Blackburn reserves last season and 9 of them he was on the bench Not that you said he is any good and are just passing on the message but I'm not overly excited

Kitson ain't a bad player and would add some know how and rough a few up, he will be in league 1 i expect again but not here

What I saw if Nichols he is good but we need a voice/leadership/quality at the back somewhere so maybe a more experienced head keeper would be a better suit? I expect people will say tarky who has natural leadership qualities but I'm hoping he will be competing for a place and not an assured starter week in week out, that ain't bashing him its just and he now needs to kick on and mature which I have reservations he can do

I mentioned Nichols as a target last week and was told that we are signing a permanent keeper not someone one loan

To sign smith is a hell of a peice of business but to get him on a 2 year deal is phenomenal Hats off to LJ and the poster who started this thread

How many games did slew play??? Slating him seems a bit harsh even if he didn't set the world alight
