  1. ^This I spoke to a Swindon fan who actually said if they went up they would want him at the back. He will get offers and some of those will be in France. If we had 11 players who gave the effort, commitment and preformed as consistenly as M'Voto has done the last 5/6 especially we would be in this mess
  2. If me or you die would we get one.... No! All the more reason why she shouldn't is the football ID card idea. I don't understand the idea you can talk bad of her when she is alive but don't when she has died. Id rather we all went in Liverpool shirts as a mark of respect to the 96 over her and I really don't like Liverpool
  3. I did think the same myself but then if you are willing to give them 100,000 you have to be willing to lose it and have a load of money anyway
  4. Can we pinch schumacer ready for next season if he is still the player he was please Feel for them but not enough not to pinch an undeserved 94min winner Saturday
  5. Really good read that I thought, much better than the usual Phil Mcnulty articles for the Beeb
  6. Has anyone ever played and managed? Its near on impossible, its nice he wants to keep fit and a clever way he can play with the youngsters and have a proper look at players but I hope he doesnt start playing every game next season which im 99% sure he wont start doing anyway unless he has a fantastic and really experienced number 2 alongside him
  7. If you play to Smith strengths he can be almost unplayable as proved in the past (although not that often) sadly we dont so he looks awful In the right championship team and played with consistent starts and a run in the team he may just well get 5-10 goals in a championship season
  8. I have a nasty fear that Scunthorpe will beat Walsall saturday and we are far from a cert to beat Bury. The problem is the players wont need to take a long hard look at themselves as many will never wear an OAFC :censored:y again after Leyton Orient away game. I hope the club will have learnt a lesson to tie players down to the club longer for commitment reason and develop the youth more and more. Got slatted on here at the start of the season when I said we will be lucky to stay up and really wanted to be proved wrong, we can say back the club all we want as fans and I can accept players who arent good enough as long as they play for the shirt which some of these lot I dont think do. I will never boo our players but the scenes at Orient away if we go down could be nasty. In response to the original question, I think we might just stay up but only as Scunny are worse and that is saying a lot and a horrible and frankly embrassing from this set of players that we are relying on 4 worse teams. I will get slatted again and maybe mad but I just wonder if Baxter out on Saturday maybe a blessing in disguise as others will have to try and take responsibility and step up to the plate and LJ (who is not to blame in this) may play 2 genuine out and out forwards and help get us further up the pitch and take our chances The answer to this question will be a hell of a lot clearer come 5pm Saturday
  9. No way you in Gloucester to! That's 3 of us. Where are you? Im in Quedgeley?
  10. Bouzy was also at fault for Jagelika header at home v Everton when he got nowhere near a cross Suarez goal at BP he should have saved Postioning on Sat aganist Carlisle He was a mistake at Goodison as well which conceded a goal Home v Colchester obviously That's just a few that spring to mind and there are more I will never boo him but im sorry I dont buy that he is a good keeper, he is league 2 or conference standard imo but whilst he is our keeper I will support and get behind him
  11. We dont have the luxury of resting our best player tonight and what would it say to the rest of the team, sorry lads but I dont trust you lot to beat Bury a team who are all but relegated without this certain player in our side I would be telling the lads that they are good enough to win tonight and show them a dvd of when we played them off the park and battered them 3-1 early in the season. Whilst some of these lot need a rocket up there arse I think the likes of Simpson might need an arm around him and tell him he is the best (even though he isnt) and that he can win games for us at this level. Its all about knowing each personality which as fans we dont but those within the camp should do.
  12. So hard for the manager as if he fields youth in a dog fight and we lose he will get slatted but it will show a lot of character from him or does he stick with the tried and frankly failed methods of players who have let the club down I think we will see a mixture of the two, id also start Cisak in goal
  13. Realistically what is winable Crawley at home Yeovil at home (very tough) Bury away Shrews away (they are very good at home) Preston & Orient we are capabale of getting draws at Im not saying its nailed on by that is about as good a run in as you could hand pick If we cant pick up 6 points from them 6 games we dont deserve to be in this league its as cut and dry as that I think 5 pts will be enough but I want 6 and to be safe hopefully before a ball is even kicked at Orient, we sure as hell dont want favours last day of the season
  14. We need 2 wins to be safe as we would then be 6pts above and a huge goal difference making it effectivley 7pts scunny would need from their last 4 and thats taking we dont get any draws Now the problem..........where the bloody hell we are going to get them from! We must get at least 3pts this week off of Preston and Bury
  15. Whilst I cant speak for Sunderland I can safely say I think our gaffer has it spot on Unfortunatley for us that is one of a long list of issues
  16. A silver lining is only 180mins more max of some of these players at BP and we will never have to watch them in a Latics shirt again. I hate slagging individuals and the team off but screw being nice, lets be honest some of these overpaid overhyped (by themselves in many cases) don't deserve a deal elsewhere we don't need people being nice we need realism and a rocket up some of these players arses
  17. Sure I read on The Sun website she is dead now anyway. Sorry to disappoint you, lol personally I think you have had a lucky escape
  18. I actually agree with you I had a chat with a Swindon fan the other day as I was saying £25 is too much for a league 1 game. He told me that he would pay £30 on the day as they play great football in his eyes The point being the price isnt the problem, its the :censored: we keep serving up on the pitch why fans arent helped coupled with the fact we have a tired on ground with 3 sides that bloody freezing at the best of times Im fully prepared for the fact we might have a new stand but also a new increased entrance fee to pay for it
  19. I just looked on their site mate that is a box where you get a meal and programme etc in
  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22038525 Not only a :censored: manager but talks :censored:
  21. I couldnt believe Ipswich charge £57 so I looked it up...........they dont http://www.itfc.co.u...w=full#anchored Mind you they incredible overpriced for a team at that level
  22. Never understand why people do sit in the main stand/paddock, you get to see a really good view of the whole pitch, thats just my opinion Out of the two I would keep it as it is, how would you make a split the Chaddy up if you let away fans in there?
  23. I have one Razza, they are really thin and not fantastic brought it more as a top we could take pictures in to show him when he is older but the letters dont peel off they aint that bad Im sure when we brought him the the home shirt & shorts it was only £20 at a max
  24. I think it has to be seen as a long term investment or it was not worth doing this year My understanding was that it had also meant an increase in merchandise that the club had sold to kids. Im sure it was something like 900-1,100 of our fans with ST were under 16's. That was from a couple of meeting I had and discussions well before Xmas. That figure was also before I donated all of the raised money from the Laticsforlife scheme. The childhren who benefited from the donated ST got to meet some of the players, were taking around the changing rooms to see what goes on behind closed doors and given a real feel for how a football club works which was highly succesful and the children loved If they do raise the price I would say no more than £23 for a ST which is £1 a game (many of the kids with ST dont attend a number of games) due to school the next day, struggling to get to the game & having an adult to look after them The club also offers the matchday club which is fantastic, I have seen how this is done and the amount of effort people put into this where you can drop off children about 1pm for £10 and the club look after them for about 4hours with staff all CRB checked and trained and get to watch a football game in a safe envoirnment
