  1. I really hope they keep the under 16's at £10 as well as they make up over 1/3 now of our ST holders I was last told by the club
  2. Congratulations, its brilliant being a dad but bloody hard work I have a 6month old who has the foam finger from the cup games, the babygrows, pack of bibs, full kit, the easter eggs in a mug from when he is older that the cup were selling the other day and a programme from the 1st game after he was born Mind you he has most of the above in Gooner colours as well, I said I would never make him support anyone but every other bugger wants to but him a kit and clolours of there team. (Which he is not allowed to wear lol)
  3. I hope those unemployed can help with the maintenance of the staduim when it is required again this summer. Im sure that those who did that as a good will gesture got a presentation at the Tranmere home game and free entry that day
  4. ^This 100% I agree with. The club are offering a bit of give or take here, I cant imagine it takes longer than 2 hours if there is a few of you to remove the covers which is effectivley tax free £10 an hour. On the basis you can get to the ground of course but people manage to do it when a game is on so if you want it bad enough you can get there
  5. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20130403-burytickets-750342.aspx Now on the OS. No mention of how many seats we will get or what stand.
  6. If the club arent happy or able to build a bar/pub inside the ground then they should on the area around it as then it would be open 7days a week and make a profit even when the team is not playing# For me the key aside from producing a product on the pitch is make it enjoyable for kids. They are the future of our football club, if when we go none of the now kids support the side then we will not have a football club Why do we not have HT entertainment? It doesnt have to be costly Before the game give kids a chance for 2-20pm to play 5 a side on the pitch and then offer them a free ticket in the hope they get the bug and can say I played on a league 1 pitch Before every game have a ex-latics player introduced to the crowd at say 250pm. That would get the crowd going a little Improvement of our website also ties in with this, we could advertise events happening on the day. I hardly check the offical site now as the quality on their is piss poor in truth. In the bar around the pitch/inside the ground have TV's with highlights of previous Latics game again to get the crowd going Use local suppliers as mentioned above and to help break the rate we pay them offer them a sponsership in the programme and around the ground. Introduce loyalty systems and make sure you make the fans who put the effort in to go to games feel appericated. I could go on but to be honest I think I would be wasting my breath as a lot would not get done and to be fair some of that is because of a lack of funds. Its not all about the product on the pitch for me that is out of our control but players do react better to more fans if they are positive which in turn can lead to a better spectacle on the playing side as well.
  7. Haha no worries Tom, I just sent you a PM back pal
  8. ???? Confused? Lol im certainly not Laticslee if thats what that is. I dispise Citeh
  9. I did read it but seems odd that he couldnt have given the 1st team maybe just 10mins and the end but could play 1hour & 30mins+ less than 24hours after. Regardless of wether res. football is less competitive their seems more to it for me. Its probably just the sceptical side of me coming out
  10. The same Matt Smith is playing who wasnt even fit to sit on the bench for the 1st team yesterday. I wonder if we will see Smith again in a Latics shirt?
  11. Cheers JSS. Really helpful that mate and helped to put my mind at ease a little
  12. I am planning on doing Bury away this year and just looked up the ground and seen it only accomodates 2,000 away fans. I know we have over 2,000 season ticket holders and with this being a huge game and very very local does anyone think that the sale will only go to season ticket holders and not make it past that? Little bit worried I wont get a ticket here
  13. I thought 1st half was dire, we had chances notiable Barnard firing at the keeper and Simpson nearly scoring a wonder goal but we looked scared especially as soon as they scored Bouzy's kicking was driving me potty all he needed to do was take a bit off and he kept kicking it at Croft when Simmo was beating Wilson their right-back in the air every time. Barnard looked isolated and Baxter was trying to be the hero misplacing killer passes and trying 35 yard efforts 1st time without even taking a 1st touch. I thought Smith battled well in the middle of the park and it was hard to even remember Wes playing. Brown did ok, Tarky a few mistakes apart again echo the above has come on leaps and bounds which I never thought he would do to be honest, I though Grounds was poor today but to be fair he has been 1 of the few who has preformed this season and Crofty again was my MOM. Fair play to LJ credit where its due I thought he was mad making the changes he did but it worked and was impressed by Reid short cameo I would have snapped your hand off had you offered me a point after 60mins so I wont complain. Its made Carlisle must win Saturday imo as I cant see us winning at Shrewsbury. I would much rather our run in than Scunny and I think 8points would even see us safe, the worry is where they are coming from
  14. Please if you can get to BP Monday then please make sure that you do. I know that times are hard for a lot of people but this could be as exciting as those cup games that people bent over backwards to make sure that they attended. We need to make as much noise as we can and get behind the lads and cheer them across the line just like we do against the scousers. We have this very much in our own hands and that includes us as fans making sure we help out.
  15. Anyone know what price Westley is as I am at work? Seems nailed on if he is in the running why would they consider the best manager in the clubs history and then not employee him
  16. Surely if a striker is coming in then Taylor is the one going out on loan? Cancel Chris Iwelumo loan as well and bring in the new guy to play alongside Barnard as long as it doesnt effect Baxter playing in his best position and effecting games
  17. I didnt see Swindon but it isnt by chance im guessing that everyone says they are the best team we have played this season. Funny how opinions are different though, I thought Sheff Utd were average and had a ref who gave them everything and that isnt an excuse as we were equally pee poor. Then again they did win 2-0 when crap and are up the top of the league but though we played them off the park especially 1st half at their place and were well worthy of a draw
  18. I was going to save my money as £25 is a joke but its £8.50 return on the train for me
  19. Hi mate, I am awaiting to see what the pricing structure is next year before another big push! Just got back from holiday but a last count 100-105 or there abouts season ticket money has been raised (Approx £1,000). Donations been slower as the season nears its end as less to be gained by those receiving the tickets Cant remember who put the intial message on about the ball for the boy which I believe someone donated but I offered to donate a ST to the lad if he wanted one and someone could take him to attend the games. The offer was not taken up that I am aware of for the lad to have the season ticket which I offered but seems other liked the idea and agreed they would also like to donate and grow our fanbase and helps local children benefit I have been working on donations ready for next season from local companies which I hope to come off as soon as details are announced on ticketing structure
  20. In other news the main site is mentioning 'tickets v Yeovil' as the title and then talking about tickets for tomorrow v Hartlepool in the article Im amazed they knew we had appointed Lee Johnson & not Gary Johnson
  21. Came across well and im glad he can see there is issues and didnt just say things like we are unlucky Im excited and scared but without someone in charge we were going down so hopefully he will give us a fighting chance and its still in Johnson's hands I am 100% behind him even if still confused why it wasnt an experienced man to plug the gap until the summer I wonder if he applied elsewhere as well i.e Notts County who also went inexperienced in Kiyomia, although the challenge for LJ is much much bigger here
  22. 13/8 to go down now, watch that plummet Tuesday v Hartlepool is the biggest this club has had this season and we have a bloke managing who has probably never managed a Sunday League game in his life Mind you if he wins tomorrow he will be heading the right way to win the fans around
  23. Shell shocked at 2 years, at least it gives him time to build or really :censored: us up! Welcome Lee!
