I met with the club and trust before the Stevenage game and we discussed a plan of where the money should go to The trust have identified a local charity that Latics have previously had connections with and discussions are currently ongoing but hoping for an answer asap Both this and the trust agree that we dont want to just hand out tickets that arent going to be used so we are trying to identify specific charities, local football clubs and schools Any help on this would be fully appreciated, the article in the programme for notts county game should hopefully give further answers on this as well as its appreance on the clubs offical site We are helped that schools have now returned and hope for negotians with them soon As always happy answer any question and provide my number via pm should anyone wish to call and offer suggestions Hope that helps a little Dean

Simpson is a huge test of Dickov managerial capabilites he has to put his arm around him show him love imo and get the best out of someone who is arguably one of our best 3 players on his day Big worry is the squad has no depth, that is something that dickov went for last season quality not quantity and it hurt us after xmas and it will do again its already hurting us by start of sep and remember you have to have 2 more on the bench in league games as well now We desperatley need 3 players imo as we need a little competition for places as players like simmo know they will never be dropped so he is riding it out easy we need another df, cm who would help if could play out wide as well and a cf Next game he has to play Byrne CB imo looked so much more solid with him there, one massive worry is that with JYM preformances and last year of his deal we could lose are best player this season so far for penny's that needs addressing I dont give a :censored: what is said there are players who we can get on our budget on loan and if slew has gone back we are saving a fee there not to mention at the moment if we payt or forward goal bonuses its costing us nothing and defenders clean sheet bonuses as we rarely do either lol

I always remember Shearer once being interviewed and asking him how he scored goals, his response was simple something along the lines of i have been taught hold the ball up and always keep yourself in the box but inbetween the line on the posts and you will score goals, he said he never scored a lucky goal as luck does not put you in the postions to score goals you do I have so much admiration for Shearer dont think people ever realised how good he was Anyway my point is if we get Smith holding the ball up and in the box he will create or score a fair few, he has to do nothing else for me other than heading away the ball in our box from set-peices as well. Play to the big mans strengths. Echo Prozac feelings that Smith will score more than Slew would much better suited game to Latics than someone who wants to run in behind and cant see how they can play together.
