That's what I'd go with, although Shez hasn't played that side and formation in any of his pre season games.
Hunt hasn't been brought in as a right back they have brought him in as a left back so doubt that will happen.

I'd start Duffus over Davies, quicker, fitter and hungrier.....

I love Duffus' turn and shoot mentality...love his confidence. Should be in serious contention for a starting spot.
Agree. Think him and Holloway up top would be a very decent force. Think davies should be sub. I would be looking to get rid of osei and bring back Erwin if funds allow.
-
Andy Cook striker at Tranmere being linked with us by their fans. Not seen anything myself or heard anything about him. Could Osei be being used as an exchange for him if so?

Maybe trialist Reagy Ofusu will be signed?
Was impressed with him, can get past a man and has a bit of pace about him. Would be worth atleast a year deal

Back page of the chron has 'McLaughlin on the move?' Knew there was interest would be gutted if he left he is a huge player for us now.

Thought fawns and duffus were real threats when they came on. Fawns at 18 showed how poor banks is as a footballer. Love how fawns always looks attacking and is comfortable on the ball where as banks can't head, can't tackle and his set pieces are woeful! Should be further down the pecking order when green and Gardner play.
Duffus always wanted to shoot shoot which I love in a striker reminded me slightly of Jonson Clarke Harris with his build and power. Real asset I think we have on our hands with him.
Thought flynn looked good again been impressed when he has played this pre season.
The keeper will do as a back up, young kid still plenty to learn but at fault for the first goal.

I don't know how to do polls but can someone do one to find out if this is the worst one ever ?
Genuine question! I'm sure for discusssions sake it was worth talking about as we have dodged relegation for the last few years. Happy to discuss if your at the game today?
-
Not being funny I have read some shit on hear the last few months yet something which could possibly happen as other clubs have strengthend massively aswell and people don't want to discuss in a fans chat group? Baffling.
-
Was wondering if Sheridan ended up in the relegation come January whether people would want to keep shez or not? For me I want stability and shez will always have the clubs interests at heart so I would keep him. Would imagine though others may not have the same thoughts!

If it's the first 2 I can't see why the club would keep that quiet they would know full well an announcement of further investment would create a surge in season ticket sales and an increase feel good factor.
For that reason I would rule those 2 out.
As soon as people find out investment has been put in that is when players ask for silly amounts in contracts and clubs you are trying to get players from up the price. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was kept quiet.

Thanks mate, much appreciated.
By way of an update; there's seemingly very little we can do to reduce the costs of the site - it's based almost entirely on utilisation and thus we've no real cut-backs to make.
Is there anyway you can give us a break down of the cost so us fans can help contribute so we know how much money we are talking about?
-
Has Sheridan asked for any support with any signings from playershare or via the trust? Thought that was something we would have offered to him.
-
Any Ormskirk or surrounding area fans want to meet up soon for a beer before the new season starts?

Didn't have a great impact, but seeing he's not played for 2 years may need more time.
Was told by vale supporting mate last night ; 'Was quality before his major injury, rumoured he wouldn't run properly again, little lightweight, Spurs were after him before his knee problems but his knee is done in'

Someone on twitter suggesting it'll be Scott Flinders in net tonight.
Clearly the cheap back up we are looking for

He looks about 12, maybe he didnt have the attitude required to command a defense including Gerrard and Clarke
Seen some videos of him. Doesn't look a physical presence and looks very poor in his distribution. Think Nash and shez may have decided this one without knowing whether we can get Ripley

I'm a bit sceptical on how little game time this Duffus guy has had at 21 years old.
Barring 3 appearances for Bury a few years ago he's only ever played reserve football
Must have something about him if Brighton top of championship in Jan made a bid for him!

I would say this week, not to sure on the hold up, I would like to say the source but unable to at this time, though its a pretty certain source, if the deal falls through I will hold my hands up and say how i got the information, but as far as i'm aware the deal is done
This is what joe Royle said at Gordys funeral or is it someone else?

May have had a few knocks. Shez won't want to risk them if they have been struggling.
