How many times over johnsons tenure at barnsley will this board constantly harp back to barnsley as we have seen so many times when dickov went to doncaster? I look forward to knowing all of barnsleys signings as if they were for my own team

My bet is johnson has mellor in mind when he says he can afford to lose the lesser players at the bottom, and replace them with better players at the top.

We seem consistent this year. I go into every game expecting the run to continue and thats the difference between this and seasons past. If i still have this belief in february there is no reason we cant do things this season

To me its all about the end product. The final league position. A team doing well with a backbone of loanees (ala tranmere a couple of year ago) is not a team to get carried away over. Its built on sand and will eventually bite you in the arse. However we have a team currently built on very solid consistant foundations and there is every reason to get carried away

Been here many many times before so not getting excited yet. Im jjst enjoying the current football on display before the inevitable kick in the teeth somewhere down the line. We are doing well tho

All the rivals we have had over the years at this level are having an awful time at the moment. We have at one time or another had strong rivalries with stockport tranmere and blackpool. Two are sinking or have already sunk to the depths of oblivion and blackpool are currently the laughing stock of the football league. Whereas us, well we are building something. I know who i would rather support at the moment.
