  1. As a fashion item i agree. as something you wear in the gym or when playing football with the lads on a monday night i think that should be legal
  2. Last year was my one and only ever season without a ST. but my illness is over now, and im back in the saddle
  3. Just out of curiosity, who do people think our last playing legend was then?
  4. you cant seriously be putting tonk in the same bracket as the other three?
  5. smith or tonk? smith every time. not the greatest footballer, but developing in huge strides all the time, unstoppable with his head, and doesnt seem to be effected by what he hears from the terraces. tonk gets more flustered than a teenage girl infront of the latest x factor winner
  6. never really saw what people liked in him tbh. not the worst we have had but if it wasnt for the memorable name he would just be another forgettable loanee for me
  7. finish 2nd next year and your the best in this league. wolves will be in a league of their own
  8. Best signing we have made in years. keeper situation has been solid since he came in as coach
  9. If snow white has a happy ending im all for the comparisons
  10. glad the squad is being brought together early
  11. We always hear the argument around the table in the pub, or on football forums, but nobody ever seems to have a definitive answer. well, depending on what you are judging it on, here are those answers. an overall average can be found at the bottom HIGHEST EVER FINISH:- 1st (D1) - Preston 1st (D1) - Sheffield United 1st (D1) - Wolves 2nd (D1) - Bristol City 2nd (D1) - Oldham 3rd (D1) - Notts County 5th (D1) - Bradford 5th (D1) - Brentford 6th (D1) - Coventry 20th (D1) - Swindon 22nd (D1) - Carlisle 22nd (D1) - Leyton Orient 4th (D2) - Tranmere 5th (D2) - Port Vale 5th (D2) - Rotherham 6th (D2) - Walsall 8th (D2) - Shrewsbury 10th (D2) - Colchester 10th (D2) - Crewe 11th (D2) - Gillingham 18th (D2) - Peterborough 3rd (D3) - Milton Keynes 6th (D3) - Stevenage 10th (D3) - Crawley SEASONS IN TOP TIER:- 63 - Wolves 60 - Sheffield United 46 - Preston 34 - Coventry 30 - Notts County 12 - Bradford 12 - Oldham 9 - Bristol City 5 - Brentford 1 - Carlisle 1 - Leyton Orient 1 - Swindon 0 - Colchester 0 - Crawley 0 - Crewe 0 - Gillingham 0 - Milton Keynes 0 - Peterborough 0 - Port Vale 0 - Rotherham 0 - Shrewsbury 0 - Stevenage 0 - Tranmere 0 - Walsall CAPACITY:- 32702 - Sheffield United 32609 - Coventry 31700 - Wolves 25136 - Bradford 24500 - Preston 22000 - Milton Keynes 21397 - Bristol City 20229 - Notts County 19052 - Port Vale 17001 - Carlisle 16567 - Tranmere 14700 - Swindon 14640 - Peterborough 12300 - Brentford 12021 - Rotherham 11582 - Gillingham 11300 - Walsall 10638 - Oldham 10153 - Crewe 10084 - Colchester 9875 - Shrewsbury 9271 - Leyton Orient 6722 - Stevenage 5996 - Crawley RECORD CROWD:- 68287 - Sheffield United 61315 - Wolves 51455 - Coventry 49768 - Port Vale 47671 - Oldham 47310 - Notts County 43335 - Bristol City 42684 - Preston 39146 - Bradford 38678 - Brentford 34345 - Leyton Orient 32000 - Swindon 30096 - Peterborough 27500 - Carlisle 25453 - Walsall 25170 - Rotherham 24424 - Tranmere 23002 - Gillingham 20000 - Crewe 19506 - Milton Keynes 19042 - Colchester 18917 - Shrewsbury 15536 - Stevenage 5880 - Crawley ALL-TIME AVERAGE:- 20328 - Wolves 18939 - Sheffield United 17930 - Coventry 13465 - Preston 13214 - Bristol City 10327 - Notts County 10169 - Bradford 9789 - Brentford 9568 - Oldham 9330 - Swindon 8457 - Leyton Orient 7431 - Port Vale 7357 - Rotherham 7288 - Milton Keynes 6682 - Carlisle 6469 - Tranmere 6435 - Gillingham 6292 - Walsall 6024 - Peterborough 5296 - Shrewsbury 4743 - Colchester 4613 - Crewe ? - Crawley ? - Stevenage LONGEST FA CUP RUN:- Winners - Bradford Winners - Coventry Winners - Notts County Winners - Preston Winners - Sheffield United Winners - Wolves Final - Bristol City Semi Final - Crewe Semi Final - Leyton Orient Semi Final - Oldham Semi Final - Port Vale Semi FInal - Swindon Quarter Final - Brentford Quarter Final - Carlisle Quarter Final - Colchester Quarter Final - Gillingham Quarter Final - Peterborough Quarter Final - Tranmere Quarter FInal - Shrewsbury Fifth Round - Crawley Fifth Round - Milton Keynes Fifth Round - Rotherham Fifth Round - Stevenage Fifth Round - Walsall Overall average 1. - Sheffield United 2. - Wolverhampton Wanderers 3. - Coventry City 4. - Preston North End 5. - Notts County 6. - Bristol City 7. - Bradford City 8. - Oldham Athletic 9. - Port Vale 10. - Brentford 11. - Swindon Town 12. - Carlisle United 13 - Leyton Orient 14. - Tranmere Rovers 15. - Rotherham United 16. - Milton Keynes 17. - Peterborough United 18. - Walsall 19. - Gillingham 20. - Crewe Alexandra 21 - Colchester United 22. - Shrewsbury Town 23. - Stevenage 24. - Crawley Town
  12. i hope it doesnt happen anytime soon. wages huge for a crap player
  13. never rated him. his positioning in the first half of the game from some of zahas crosses was crap, and they desperately missed murray. he is a squad player at best at championship level no chance in the PL
  14. Playing was always something he was doing to tide him over while he wasnt ready for management. His ultimate goal was always management and even when he was playing was always thinking like a manager
  15. Can i make the first nomination for a song please? Hes so good hes got three names Jonson clarke harris He scores the goals that win the games Jonson clarke harris/he simply takes the piss Cant sleep and im bored.
  16. I do agree with the general sentiment of this thread. . . BUT something inside me would prefer all the big teams to be promoted, only struggling or little teams coming down, and your burtons and cheltenhams coming up. the easier the league is next year the better for me. Makes a surge to the title much more likely
  17. If bouzanis had done this with us in the same position i wouldnt have had a problem with it. at that stage of the season i would be ecstatic just to have survived and that alone is worth anyones 20 quid
  18. didnt schumacher say it was the worst time of his career when he was on loan at boundary park a fair few years ago? think it was on loan from everton
  19. The white flash on the shoulder looks ridiculous, the rest of the kit looks like something out of sunday league. not for me. but i wouldnt give a :censored: if they wore it winning promotion
  20. it obviously explains paul blacks presence at the game last night. he has won the lottery and bought the club, first step is plaster his name over the damn shirt wont be getting one, purely due to it clearly being a rubbish transfered on sponsor again. not worth the money. brig back sewn in sponsors please
  21. so as a result of the four polls on the site at the moment the retained list for next season would look like this gk Boozy Jacub Defence Byrne (player/Coach) Mvoto Tarkowski Brown Belsika Midfield Croft Mellor Murray (player/coach) Strikers Miller Smith Taylor looking at that its a very solid base to build around, but in all honesty, will we have the room for 2 player/coaches, plus a new assistant, plus philliskirk? can see Murray going personally. Smith is looking doubtful, and personally i would let brown go. what is very telling is that the masses have voted to keep every single one of our defenders, and Mvoto has been selected as a "keep" by every single voter on here except one (John Platt, strange man )
