  1. I dont mean the fact we are winning games by one goal a bad thing in itself, im more than happy we have won the last three games. ecstatic even. as we all know football changes very quickly and there will be more than one occasion where we need more than the odd goal next year. to rely on a one goal cushion is a very dangerous thing
  2. Have we ever had a manager who has had such attention drawn to his fashion? I really dont get it most of us are blokes, we like booze boobs and football, leave the fashion to the ladies
  3. Quite simply without him we would be where bury are now. him and croft have ket us up almost single handedly
  4. just as a follow on to my last post, pre Johnson league Goals (36 games) For 35 44 Against 50 63 GD -15 -19 Johnson League goals (8 games) For 10 57 Against 7 40 GD +3 +17 Figures in bold are what you could expect at that rate over a full 46 game season. Johnsons goals for column would leave you around 10th -12th in this years table His goals against column would leave you top of the table I know stats can be twisted which ever way you like, but that to me shows clearly where our transfer policy needs to be looking in summer. the defence has improved greatly under LJ, if we can improve our strike rate markedly we should be in for a very good season next year
  5. yeah i mostly agree, but for me we have been far too quiet vocally, and still aint producing enough chances. i dont buy this "our form is good enough for promotion under LJ". we are winning buy one goal every game. to me that tells us he has sorted the defence out, not we have found the knack of scoring. it is clear we still need improvements all over the park. we need leaders, we need people willing to put a tackle in, and while i do agree I trust LJ to deliver next season, I personally feel he will be far from ready to settle with this squad.
  6. Best idea on this thread so far has been to use netting on the bottom 5 rows for the last game of the season. also restrict exit routes to the back of stands only. however, whether this is allowed for safety reasons is another matter all together
  7. ive always wondered if they count a woodwork strike as a shot on target
  8. I am the first to doubt corney and the motives behind some of his decisions, but you have to say well done on appointing LJ, when it was clear it wouldnt immediately be a welcome one
  9. does that make him a crap appointment? for me, every manager we appoint is a potential god until he proves otherwise. Im finding LJ's appointment quite refreshing. chill out, we have a clean slate and a bright-ish future. enjoy it
  10. The ten pound season ticket scheme is a good idea, but has to be backed with an intermediary scheme for students up to 21 etc. and as for them all being 10 pound tickets thats ridiculous i saw full grown men on there, and I would actually say most were between 16 and 20. pretty sure they wernt getting in for 10 pound season tickets i reiterate. complete knobs
  11. The fact Dickov got three years and "dickov out" was very rarely, if ever shouted makes this post bollocks
  12. Top draw stuff when you take into account the task facing him after the bournemouth defeat. to finish 5 points plus is nothing short of remarkable if we achieve it
  13. Complete tools today all those who ran on the pitch. i'm sure you all had your moment on Tues, so to do it today when the club had blatantly stated we had a warning from the FA is quite simply Moronic.
  14. He's round hes fat he'll skin ya like a cat Lee croft....
  15. Somehow i cannot see this happening again. even if it was successful this season- which i doubt - we are the biggest team in the agreement next season (so says league position) and we don't need this kind of :censored:e. who wants to watch 4th rate footy anyway
  16. couldnt give a :censored: about doncaster as long as we stay up. LJ lacing up is a good call
  17. i dont mind filling out these surveys for students, but once in a while i wouldnt mind seeing the results
  18. agree with that, its original and means something to the club. i would explain my reasoning behind my first comment but he just did it for me
  19. Gotta be us that. ok luton beat a team probably 90 places above them, but it was only 1-0. and didnt contain the england captain, one of the premier leagues leading goal scorers, and an overall value of £100 million. its in the bag
  20. tbh i dont see the fuss about sitting in the new stand the trick is to use the bar and facilities pre match, then go sit in the dilapidated main stand and look at the new shiny one across from you. at least then boundary park might look half decent
  21. you can try before you buy. just ask to be let in to the stand. most clubs when opening a new stand hold an open day for perspective season ticket holders, to wander round and get the best views, cos lets face it, no one has the foggiest what the best seat in the stand is
  22. hmm i finish work at half 2 in midd. if i rush i can prob make it for 5 or ten mins after kick off, but is it really worth the effort, and 20 odd quid?
