We could lose every game between now and the end of the season and i wouldnt blame lj. its quite evident the players need to shoulder a very large percentage of blame as they quite clearly wont do it, and thats under 3 different managers now. not all players are at fault but some need to question what they are in football for. im looking forward to summer, weather we go down or not, as we can see the back of some of this utter shower and get players in who want to play for the shirt. i could accept it if we were where we are because we lack the quality, but we quite clearly dont we have a team good enough for the top half. mentally and passion though, we are destined for the drop.

imo cisak has made more, in far fewer games. bouzy is generally mr reliable

agreed, bouzy is the one player i would be bending over backwards to keep. far better attitude than the rest. people moan about the rest not playing for the shirt, yet when you say this about bouzy people say "so what, its all about the quality and lack of mistakes" i can handle genuine mistakes, its lack of desire and passion in this gutless shower of :censored:e which really gets my goat

Personally wes can go for me in summer he offers very little, he is only in there because there is no one else. that formation would work quite well imo, with croft and mellor sitting narrow, when we dont have possession, and finding the wings when we take control, giving options. Croft is really good at this, i see no reason why mellor cant be as well

get smith up top with barnard, and get two wingers on (preferably one being croft) baxter in just behind the front two. this is the way forward imo. drop korey smith back in place of brown and mellor in the middle. bouzey smith tarky mvoto grounds croft wes mellor baxter barnard smith

no id be against this. if you are trying to live off 50 quid a week or whatever there is no way you should be able to afford live football, even at 12 quid. realistically how many people would just go to the game then go home? there is the pre and post match pint, travel etc. you would end up spending 20 quid minimum. from the clubs point of view they need to attract as many fans as possible, but not like this. you have to look at it from the other side and say its a luxury the unemployed just shouldnt be able to afford. i have been unemployed and i spent everyday down the job centre/trawling newspaper ads/door knocking til i found work. i ended up with 2 jobs, but until then i treated every penny like it was a £, every £ like it was a tenner. shouldnt be "wasting" money on things like latics imo.

Baxter is a quality player and there is no way he would agree to a 2.5 yr contract without a minimum fee release clause. its obvious if your doing comparisons with others at this level that he is worth 1 mill plus, but: we havent had him develop at the club from being a kid we didnt blood him into the first team, he was basically guaranteed football anywhere at this level. compare that with powell who crewe developed and the fact we will get much less is obvious. id be amazed if its anywhere above, or even approaching £500,000. and unless the club can basically guarentee him a promotion push (highly doubtful) with a team built around him, he wont be here next season.

You do have to question the fairness of parachute payments though imo. they are there to help cover the cost of relegation, but a far better way of doing it would be to have a relegation wage drop written into every new contract. this way players can leave if they want more money, and they might actually give a :censored: about being relegated rather than just accepting the pay cheque. no team should be receiving larger pay outs than others if they are playing at the same level. sponsorship and ticket sales may vary. tv money and other payments from the fa/premier shouldnt.
