  1. realistically could you ever see this happening? from donnys point of view, we beat them in the cup and we have just beaten forest, but we have also not won in the league since early december, are only 5 points clear of relegation and have stagnated for 3 years. on the flip side tho, he does have pulling power, and with a decent coaching set up he could probably do things with them. and if he ever did get to the interview stage he would definately talk a good game. if you were dickov, you would probably jump at the chance

  3. just a question regarding tenner season tickets? who controls the latics 4 life donated ones, as in who has access to them? is there a way of putting a block on them so they dont get abused? or are they already floating about in the community with no way to control them?
  4. but there are that many different ones flying about its hard to keep up with which are the most popular ideas, so which way of prioritising tickets would you choose? Not included anything about season tickets because obviously they get first dibs.
  5. for this reason, and this reason alone, i recon the club have to give 2 tickets per season ticket holder
  6. ha the death pool? is that what i think it is?
  7. precious about it? it looks like theres about 600 in it for most home games!!
  8. realistically, how likely is it that someone who pays on the gate has never had a season ticket? this is why the membership scheme should never have been scrapped
  9. We desperately need strength adding in midfield. even if you go with mellor or winchester who the hell have we got to fill the bench? and incidentally how pissed off will furman be he is missing the liverpool game?
  10. how about this? dont know how the logistics would work, but first come are current season ticket holders, followed by lapsed season ticket holders, followed by open sale. at least this way you know you are prioritizing those who at somepoint in recent history have shown a keen interest in latics, rather than just any old randomer who buys a voucher off a mate in the pub for priority and is unlikely to return until the next glamour tie surely the club has a record of names or summat to make this possible? like i said i dont know how realistic an idea this is in practice, but makes sense in theory
  11. I voted definately attend, but if you ask 100,000 football fans in oldham i guarantee there would be more saying will attend than what it is physically possible to do so. so somewhere along the line someone will be disappointed, to varying degrees
  12. the whole charity thing for this should have ended when the government announced they were paying legal fees. any money made after that should have been redirected into another good cause. why else do these families need this money other than the legal fees? If this question can be answered legitimately then i apologise for my next comment, but they are in danger of looking like they are making a profit out of this which is so so wrong on so many levels. from a footballing point of view bp needs to be made a fortress. nice gestures might get you a 10 line comment 6 pages in from the back of the sun but what does it get you on a football pitch? give them the minimum allocation, no Gestures need making and lets treat the like any other football club coming to bp.
  13. if we have to give them a full stand it should be the chaddy. latics fans filling the rocky would be unbelievable and probably the best atmosphere bp has ever seen from home fans. let the tin pot chaddy roof turn the scousers volume down. surely its worth asking the police to do this? on another note, what would chaddy regulars think of shutting the chaddy to home fans as a one off, for the greater good?
  14. what we should do, is give priority in this order: ST Holders Those purchasing both a liverpool ticket and a yeovil ticket open sale. sod these voucher on the gate ideas. easy to sell them on in the pub for a fiver. make people spend 40 quid. you can more or less guarantee tickets would be sold out by the time they got to open sale, and if you didnt end up getting a ticket its because your not committed enough to shell out for 2 games
  15. those saying they want arsenal, they still have to get past swansea, a team who beat them not so long ago at the emirates. not a walk in the park that one. would be gutted if we got them then swansea won. as i would if we drew utd and west ham won. for that reason i want city, spurs or chelsea
  16. no.put simply. it could quite possibly be the death of this club. look at stockport
  17. put it this way i would take our position now any day of the week compared to how we were after the crewe defeat
  18. i would rather draw luton or macc any day than west ham
  19. Colchester lost, Carlisle got stuffed, and shrewsbury only drew. good day all in all 5 Points clear most played 26
  20. that would be :censored:e. guarentee it will happen if utd fail to win
  21. who gives a dam i want to see my oldham play at old trafford. we would make more money in that game than we do in a whole season. probably double what we did against liverpool
  22. David Seaman and Dave Beasant will make tommorrros draw at half 3. 26 -Manchester Utd will play 25 Oldham Athletic that would do nicely!
  23. gotta hand it to everyone involved in our fa cup run so far. Its one thing getting to the fourth round, but you have to take into account just who we have beaten to get there. Kidderminster away aint an easy game, but its table top chasers donny and championship team notts forest who really make you think how well we have done. 2 exceptional results where by all accounts we were clearly the better team. hope this transfers into league form and we can use it as a spring board. maybe our season has been turned on its head this year?
  24. What - if any - impact do you recon it will have on the appointment of a second in command? would a one off game help us attract a better calibre of applicant? I can see it having a positive impact on the quality of loan signings, people will want to play at a top class ground - if we get the right draw - but what about the more perminent position on the backroom team?
