  1. Wasnt it Moore who released him? before we resigned him again?
  2. WOOOOOOOO!!!!! Ive never won anything like this. Not bad considering I was bottom after 4 games. I'd like to thank my mother, my father, my brother and sister, my optician, my next door neighbours cat and my aunties daughters deceased pet gerbil. all played a part. close call in the end, good game chaps
  3. I am still looking for volunteers to help with car park stewarding and other things if you would like to help. I have had no input with this event, simply helping with the organisation of volunteers. just inbox me if you are interested, or add me on facebook:- Phill Higgins
  4. please dont find find a shorter route from millwall i may headbutt a wall
  5. wigan away remains my all time favourite away game ever. when we beat them 1-0 under ritchie in the lat 4 minutes.
  6. Im in the main stand, and generally im a happy clapper at games.
  7. just out of curiosity what points do you get for predicting the correct number of total goals scored across the tournament, if any? so tell all zorro and steve, who do you have to win it? im praying for italy to go through tommorow. i can only presume you two have germany to win it?
  8. not at all. you have to remember we have retained 4 vastly experienced players. if the season started tommoro i bet our average age is higher than it was on the first day of the season last year
  9. That throws another spanner in the works. Isnt Anthony Partington 27?
  10. not at all, its my local community and I have a week off with no plans. I would expect anyone in my position to do the same. Seriously looking into getting a charity game on for this weekend If it can be organised intime
  11. Waiting for news of any clear up operation thats getting underway, that i can be of any help with. Im off work all week so would be more than willing to lend a hand
  12. I live just off crompton way and tbh the whole of shaw is a no go area at the minute. No way through to milnrow, and half the high street from the weavers up to shay wake is a no thru road. if you can at all avoid it i would. My whole house shook when it went up. not surprised houses nearer to the incident have had windows blown thru
  13. He Epitomized everything that was wrong with the club under Talbot Incidently, this made quite interesting reading. who would have thought it. Talbot in the champions league!!
  14. tbh ive been top for over a week, but with the predictions ive made for the knock out stages i cant see it lasting. the one good thing is i predicted the portugal spain semi, but i had netherlands to beat italy in the other one, with the dutch going on to win the competition, so ive realistically no chance.
  15. what he said. in truth, is he really that good? personally think he lives off the 4 goals he scored against chesterfield.
  16. to still be top after a night i knew i wasn't gunna score? id deffo have took that before hand
  17. just an idea. im not technically gifted so wouldnt know how to do it, but im sure it would be popular http://www.thefootballforum.net/index.php?/topic/212660-the-official-league-1-fantasy-football-game-201213/
  18. so If I have it right you could predict all eight teams in the quarters correctly, but if they all finished in different places (ie predicted 2nd and they finished 1st or vice versa) in the groups than you predicted, you will be low scoring? just curious, i got 2 groups spot on, so happy days!
  19. can see your argument, but i have to say i completely disagree with it. however they implement any new technology, it needs to be something that can be used right across the world, in any professional league or cup competition. if almost identical decisions happen in 2 different games involving united, the first, (scored against them) is ruled out in the champions league final after using goal line technology. the second (scored by them) on the last day of the domestic season should be ruled out but isn't due to the league not using such technology. ultimately they go on to win the league by 1 decisive goal. there would be uproar. even we would be saying its bent. we don't play offsides in some competitions and not others. this has to be the same.
  20. dont get me wrong im not saying the device as i describe it is available. im saying the technology needed to make such a device is available. its only the same sort of thing used in timing chips for marathons which would be needed.
  21. i recon you will get points awarded as such ie you predict russia 1 netherlands 3 you get no points awarded cos you didnt predict the correct teams to make the qf you predict russia 1 portugal 3 you get points on any correct predictions made for portugal, but not for the russia goals cos that wasnt predicted correctly you predict czech 1 portugal 3 you get points for both teams as you did in the group stages. i also guess that you would score points for portugal regardless of which quarter final you predicted they will play in. ie you predicted they would finish top but they finished 2nd, hence they play in qf 1 instead of qf 2 This is all guesswork, but could be classed as a prediction, so if im right i want extra points!!!
  22. personally against goal line technology, it takes the talking points from the pubs and its what makes football so much better than most sports. wheres the talking points in golf etc? if we do have it though, i cant see why they cant just put a chip in the ball, with sensors around the goal which you can clip on and off the posts. issue the refs with them like they do whistles and flags, and they can be used at any level up and down the leagues, ie if liverpool drew ashton utd away from home it wouldnt be a problem. this technology is already available, and relatively cheap, solutions dont have to be ridiculously expensive.
