  1. Tranmere: Never rated Sonko, and the signing of Bas Savage is something straight out of the comedy club. really poor signings (can't speak for the Irish lad they have got) now everyone knows they wernt exactly brilliant last year, and they are three years into a two year plan. honestly wouldnt surprise me if moore was out of a job come christmas time. other teams which are likely to struggle are: scunthorpe. lost a few key men, and have a squad the size of a six a side team. Cheltenham. No strikers, lost their best player, and again, minimal squad size. Hereford. Again minimal squad size, and those they do have are unproven at this level Crewe. Likely to lose Maynard, lost their keeper, and are likely to have a weaker squad than that which scraped survival last year Those four teams will go down imo. Leicester will do a Sheff weds/Leeds/Forest in their first seasons and find it hard to adapt.
  2. smalley is nothing special. you can find a smalley at every club up and down leagues 1 and 2. i agree, he is good to have on the bench, and his work ethic is one of quite a high standard, but we wouldnt particularly miss him. his career will be at league one level. if he were to sign for sheffield, he wouldnt make it with them, and i will bet anyone we would see him back at league 1 level or lower before he is 24 if we can get money for him, i say sell, especially if it means keeping hold of Eardley
  3. certainly do. walking up the hard shoulder of the m1 seriously, you can see the route on the donation page. at www.justgiving.com/millwalloldham. more or less as the crow flies

  5. i actually voted 4-4-3, but i do see where your coming from with a 3-5-2. most people are usually against it, but it worked a treat in the dowie season, and like you say gregan, stam and hazell could quite easily perform that formation without too much hassle. with eardley already on the pitch in the centre, switching back to a flat 4 could be done without too much hassle. either 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 works fine by me

  8. i recon 4-3-3, with : gk crossley/fleming rb eardley cb gregan cb hazell lb lomax cm allott cm lee cm whittaker st (l)davies st ® taylor st © Hughes thats what fits best in my opinion, although i do agree a 4-4-2 is looking decidedly unbalenced

  15. i had this thought at first, but too many teams will be fighting for something, be it at the top or bottom of the league, to do that. in reality, this has nothing to do with luton, it has everything to do with the future of football. if three or four teams a year are doing a luton, and they all get the same punishment the entertainment in football will simply drip away. how is a 30 point deduction keeping a level playing field?
  16. i dont agree with points deductions. they happen to teams who are usually struggling with their finances, and its unfair on the fans who support these clubs. it also detracts from the entertainment value. imo it should be those at the helm who get punished. however this is done i dont know, but luton could well be the best, most entertaining team in league two next year, and still get relegated. how is that right? in ten years time, its not inconceivable that to win the league you will have to be the best run club, and not the best footballing club. where is thefun in that?
  17. yeah, oh when the blues is a certainty. would vote for that every time. for the other side, how about zigga zagga, zigga zagga? oppo fans wouldn't have a clue what it was all about
  18. ok, we have seven strikers, but in all seriousness, how many do you concider we have that are good enough for shez not to look at the loan system? hughes - obvious quality, first choice davies - best of the rest allesandra - good enough for the first team, will be competing with ogrady to get off the subs bench, and certainly good enough to start should there be injuries ogrady - signed to add depth to the squad, would be very surprised should he not play a very large part in our season smalley - personally see him as more of a wide player, will be a bit part player up front if anything wolfy - why is he still at the club? williams - will be lucky to make a handful of appearences. one for the future in my eyes, 7 has become 4 there. wouldnt expect too much from smalley (will play his part on the wing imo), williams and wolfy. whichever way you look at it, strength in depth is a very good thing
  19. dont see the point in paypal, or any other payment system. strictly debit card or cash for me. if i cant use a debit card on the internet, i go to another site. simple as really. As a side note, i dont see why so many people use credit cards. to me its money down the drain. if i want something, i save up for it. if i cant afford it, i dont get it. this credit crunch is going to send many a person bankrupt, and it has come about because people have been living beyond their means on credit cards/hire purchase etc for the past 10 years. this is also why the housing market has risen so rapidly over the last 10 years. tbh the credit crunch doesnt affect me. im debt free and proud of it. ok, i will pay more for my fuel/food etc, but there is no avoiding that. i dont however have any simpathy for those thousands in debt on the plastic friends
  20. i would say derek would agree with steptoe there, but you didnt include taylor.
  21. Unfortunatly I can't make it, due to me carrying out the bosses duties while he is on holiday. gutted really, would have liked to pay my respects. Very fitting though that such a well liked public figure gets the send off he deserves. I'll be sending my deepest sympothy.
