  1. I say let asll kids in under the age of 10 for free, then 10 - 16 give it them for a fiver, then have a student price and an adult price. by the age of sixteen if they are going to become hardcore they will be.
  2. Well Rocky, you have just described a certain old man i had a run in with. if he had a lad about 13 with him its deffo him, but thats not guarenteed. i got told he had moved his season ticket to the lookers, hope he stays there when the demolition guys move in
  3. oh, must have missed that one. sounded like the entire lookers were having a heart attack for a moment. i said to a lad i was with "thats the sound of the Lookers stand soul escaping before it dies its death."
  4. Football is a funny old game. IMO Stam was woeful tonight compared with his normal standards. too many missed headers, miskicks and general sloppyness. Hazell takes it by a mile tonight for me, although macca, as someone quite rightly points out had a good game and pushed rubes close.
  5. whats all this shouting about then? someone care to enlighten me?
  6. well done in advance to all that come, but im going for a pittyful 22
  7. this is reflecting the survey i did on sat, seems very few will move to the Chaddy, and i found that the older the person will sit in the mainstand while the younger will sit in the rocky, except of course the odd one who bucks the trend
  8. i got various different comments. "I dont want a club credit card" "F**K OFF PR**k" People blatantly ignoring you Makes me laugh. it will be those people who moan they never get consulted about anything to do with the club. I did get one little girl though who saw me sneeze and offered me a tissue. bless. she was no more than 4. but still, the majority were friendly, saw a few common faces, ran out of sheets so im guessing i did my job
  9. i really dont think we need that many changes in the summer. get a creative midfielder in, a left winger and a back up striker and we will be set. the youngsters will mature next season. we already see the potential allessandra has, and i dont think smalley is that far behind him. people say we havent the strength in depth, but they need to understand next year smalley and allessandra are the lifeblood of the team. youngsters are naturally fitter, and less prone to wear and tear related injuries. if we could get Eardley Taylor Alessandra Smalley Lomax all playing 40+ games next season, with a sprinkling of Allott Stam Hazell Hughes McDonald you have to admit that isnt a half bad team, and with a years more experience amongst the first lot, i think we will be mighty hard to beat. in all honesty i would let Gregan, Thompson and Liddell go. (obviously discounting reckless challenges and broken fingernails) IMO there would be far less injuries amongst that team, and with the likes of Crossley (or A.N.Other), Stam, Hazell, Allott, Macca and Hughes you have a cracking backbone. obviously the squad will need additions to replace them i have said i would let go, but i dont think we need to spend big to replace them and half decent squad players would do. players of the standard of Kalala, Rocastle and Warne would be plently good enough for me, and these are players not on a considrable wage it is to be imagined.
  10. i was match sponsor once. i went for the easy option and chose beckett. he was getting it every week and i was drunk and thought it was the easy option. didnt really see much of the game cos i was at the bar/on the loo/watching the grand national etc etc. turns out he hit the post twice and had a generally all round bad game by his standards. boy did i look a reet muppet. easy to understand these baffling decisions when you have been in the situation yourself
  11. ive seen it for 30 quid adult, return, setting off about 3 am, and thats from manchester picadilly. thats why i was asking
  12. while in the premier we always got drawn against them in the cup, and they always seemed to beat us, or that might just be my vague childhood memory playing tricks on me
  13. I was hoping to get one incorperating "Philliggi", "OWTB FC", and Latics. apart from that im not really bothered, as long as it looks good.
  14. ive never been very technical, so i dont have a clue how to make new sig's on my own. would anybody be willing to help me? or better still do it for me? or is there somewhere where it already explains it to me already? told ya i wasnt very technical
  15. i would disagree with that ed. before Ronnie went there, there was bad feeling due to them calling us manc's and us not liking it. thus we returned the favour by calling them bindippers etc etc...
  16. Lewis for me, Taylor was outstanding, but you cant argue with a goal and assist, coupled with constant harassing of their defender and all round brilliant close control. i hope we have this lad on a long term deal, and if not, why not? i would go as far to say he would be my first choice striker now, the question is who plays along side him. Davies would find it very hard to get back in the team if i was manager.
  17. question i have is what the hell was mullins doing for the taylor goal? was it a back pass? a mistimed clearence? whatever it was it was comical. so glad Ronnie went and we wernt lumped with that excuse for a player. Same could be said for Moore. and also, what exactly was Taylor claiming for, before he tapped the goal in? couldnt see anything Tranmere did which was illegal (on the pitch, obv, no doubt much illegalness was done yesterday by the poormans scouser)
  18. Crossley - 6 only because he had nothing to do Eardley - 7 hits to many balls long, at times guilty of hoof ball, but he performed better yesterday Hazell - 8 solid at the back again Stam - 7 better performance again Lomax - 7 never spectacular, always solid Smalley - 8 willing to run at oppo and good feet Macdonald - 7 does the quiet things well Allot - 7 another consistantly solid player. no change today Taylor - 8 imo his best performance of the season. beat his man time and again and actually put crosses in Allesendra - 9 MOM good play for the penalty, and good positioning for the goal. Constantine - 6 quiet again, but give him time to show his fitness and he will come good
  19. you have obviously never worked at mcdonalds then
  20. i mean when he eventually gets the boot, or he decides to leave, not saying its round the corner
  21. over the course of the season we have won one game every 2.76 matches (1.38 points a game) over the last ten games we have won exactly half our matches (1.6 points a game) if we are to continue in the same form we have all season, we will finish with 64 points, not good enough for a play-off spot if we are to continue in the same form we have over the last 10 games, we will finish with 66 points, not good enough for a play off spot. no matter which way you look at it, even with what is shown in the stats as a slight improvement in form over the last ten games, it will take a much greater effort to reach the play-offs. i would say 72 is the minimum required for the play-offs, meaning we can only afford to drop 8 points. just to show the vast improvement needed, we need to win 6, draw four in the next ten games, compared to win 5 draw 1 in our previous ten games. in all honesty i dont think it is realistic, but until it is impossible i will, as ever, keep the faith
  22. and the trannies realise what we have been telling them for 2 years, will it lead to a mutual understanding? or will we just laugh at them all the MOORE ( sorry no pun intended). somehow i think the trannies rivalry is here to stay no matter what happens, as long as we are in the same league and playing each other regularly. nothing better than a victory over the bin dippers
  23. From the tranmere reaction when they had him, and the few forest fans i have spoken to they all rate thompson. there must be something there. cant say i have seen it myself but i am willing to give him a fresh start next season
