BigfinLatic
pulled out before the start of the the game, dont tell me his groin has gone again. Had a good chat with Hughesy at half time in the stockport end.... when him and Kev Maher were getting a half time burger!!! Said he tweaked it in training on thursday, and he would have made the game if it was today, just needed another 24 hours - he was absolutley gutted as he said stockport are his favourite team to play against in the football league... Oh well... was actually nice to see the county fans reaction to him, lots of people coming up to him, shaking his hand, and saying things like "Glad you are back in football...." .. also great to see the players diets are as closely monitored as ever.... boundaryblue80
good...if i was a footballer earning good money, training 4/5 times a wk, id go out and enjoy myself as well True...if he was fit. Someone with a groin strain, missing a game then going out that night...is it the wisest thing to do? Hope he stayed off the dancefloor. Unlike another player last Saturday who was dancing at 100mph in Liquid...however, as he ain't injury prone, I'm less concerned by that. I do hope the injury prone types ala Hughes are a bit more cautious when on their own time.

futchers briefs
Except hughes does the business when he's on the pitch! After making a valid point Senor 'ducks' and avoids the oncoming onslaught! I would imagine the training pitch is closed after 10pm on a friday and saturday night, so if they don't have a game the day/2days after - where's the issue. Was Maher actually 'on the bench'??? He didnt warm up at half time on the pitch with the other subs (Smalley, Lomax, lewis, Ales, Stephens, Fleming??) and he wasnt wearing kit - he had on a tacksuit, trainers and one of the big latics coats shez wears.... Dont know if he was named beforehand, but dont think he actually took up his place.... to be honest we could have done with anoter experienced head in that midfield in the second half.... Its interesting that Maher is now being looked upon as inspiration/leadership to our apparently flagging midfield now were struggling a bit, whereas a couple of weeks ago we could of loaned him out to anyone and nobody would of batted an eye.
