opinions4u
hope the club handle this in a dignified manner, last thing we need when chasing promotion is an over paid over rated primma donna sticking a spanner in the works. Can't argue with that. I have time for his footballing ability. Concerns over what we lose when we play him. But I have no time for his comments of the last two weeks which are surely a breach of contract. Time to cut the bills on this one. Dignified would be nice. But I quite like the idea of putting him in stocks and throwing pies at him. Then again, he might like that. singe
just read the chron article he hasnt got a clue and contradicts himself straight away,by saying shez TOLD him he wouldnt be playing against millwall and leeds.....then carrys on to say i told shez put a kid on the bench to get some money, when i didnt play against leeds i felt let down and embarrassed as it was my understanding not playing at millwall meant i was against leeds... he was told he wasnt playing. he has shown touches of sheer class and ability on occasion, scored a good goal but hasnt exactly been outstanding i think he is as mad at himself as anyone else, fancy going out on loan with no release or call back clause,so all his bleating of maybe getting a second chance at hull is bolloks,he cant go back. hope the club handle this in a dignified manner, last thing we need when chasing promotion is an over paid over rated primma donna sticking a spanner in the works. To give Macca his due he did point this contradiction out yesterday at 17.32 in this thread MAcca 17.32 Edited March 4, 2009 by singe
danoafc
I had a chat with a friend of mine on facebook who is a Hull fan. Obviously he jumped to Windass' defence with things like "he didn't expect to be on the bench" and "he could be on the bench at Hull". At which point I pointed out he has started 9 out of the last 11. Scored 1 goal. Possibly has 3 or 4 assists and a 40 min cameo appearance in goal (where he got lucky). He hasn't struck up a partnership with our leading goalscorer and looks to be unfit. "Yeah but he always give 100%" came the reply. Thats debatable and at the end of the day sometimes just giving 100% is not enough. At then end of the day if he's this bad for us in a promotion chasing League One side, how bad would he be in a struggling Premiership side. I don't think Phil Brown would let him near the bench. Personally I'd much rather have one of OUR kids giving 100% and only notching one in nine than that :censored:ing waster (apologies for not using the ). I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt when he came, but I can't help thinking back now to his disgusting assault on Pogs at The Valley, and how much it made me despise him. Thanks for the laughs at Leicester Dean but you can go take your ego and shove it right up your big, fat, lazy, miserable arse. .

andysteel1
I've been defending Windass since he joined us but now look he has proven that he doesn't care about anyone but himself, I bought his book recently oly managed t get abit of the way thorugh it, but he it obvious now that he just a fat, arrogant, player who wets the bed when he drunk. If he stays and that looks very unlikley I think he should be made t donate two weeks wages to Ernie Cooksey's charity. He would have to single-handley win us promotion to get my faith back, I also think that he should come on here and face up to what he said. That is all redundant though because he isn't going to play for us again simple as, although I would like to see us keep him even if it is just to stop him going back to his prescious Championship bound Hull ad it'll be nice to see him looking for a club in the summer. Let's get behind the lads cause if this rumour about Gregan and Taylor fighting is true they going to need all our support. Don't let the dream die because of one arrogant has been. jennylatics
I just wanted to point out that Windass didn't contradict himself the way some are claiming - he obviously meant he was told he wouldn't play in BOTH Millwall and Leeds games (meaning he would only play in one), and therefore when he didn't play against Millwall, he expected to be picked for the Leeds match. I'm not defending him and would have been appalled if a winning team had been changed to accommodate him.
Zorrro
Last week Shezza said he would not be playing me in the games against Millwall on Saturday and Leeds on Monday. It was a fair shout as the matches were in quick succession and so instead of sitting on the bench at the New Den, I told him to put a young lad in my place so he could get some appearance money. But my understanding of this was that I would then be involved against Leeds. However, this time I was stuck on the bench and only came on for the final few minutes which was embarrassing and insulting. So, you were told you weren't being played, but still interpreted it to mean you'd be involved against Leeds? Hmmm, okay. Mind you, you were involved, so I don't quite see what the problem is. seasidelatic
Good news all round! BlueInAus
Well done Shez. I love the fact he brought him on at the last minute....... "See, he is fit enough to play, he is just ****". Perfectly handled by Shez, I love it! Enjoy the rest of the season Dean. I am sure you have lots of things you can do around the house. You are dreaming of the prem or championship, you couldn't even do the business in League one! Totally delusional if you think you are still prem quality, I am not even sure you ever were. Rick
Spoke to someone last night who said he had told a club official he didn't mean it like its being taken??????? eh!!!!! possibly even dafter than the original outburst. I remember him using the "the manager hasn't spoken to me for ages " line with Hull and Phil Brown. Then he later retracted his comments when he realised that he was burning his bridges. I think it is clear that his blogs are damaging his reputation and are doing him no favours at all. He was a quality player back in his prime and I was really excited when he signed. He showed some good touches and was unlucky nto only score one goal in his time with us, but to spit his dummy out to such and extent on being demoted to the bench (happens to every player from time to time) and to go public at the detriment to the good name of our club is simply terrible. I know that footballers are not renowned for their intelligence and with him being from Yorkshire he must also be a bit "backwards" (is this still allowable in the politically correct era in which we live?) but I am gobsmacked at what has happened. Looks like he has been told to shut up and go back and apologise by his wife and the club are trying to work things out to mutual benefit. IF he DOES return, he is going to get an almighty amount of stick. There is no doubt about that.

Diego_Sideburns
Comment from a Hull fan on the SportHull site: How can he complain about not playing, you're on loan ??? Er the manager picks the team. Thats the sort of behaviour which got you put on loan in the first place. Just get on with it ? Rob, Bilton, Hull - yesterday, 19:35 pm Good point well made. Guest sheridans_world
I see on the OS he has come back with his tail between his legs. Whether his blog is ghost written or not, Windass must have given that impression, journo's bend the truth, but they dont re-write it totally. I imagine he's been "advised" to come out and say this... he had a face like a slapped arse on Monday night!
