Frankly Mr Shankly
I'll throw a couple more in the ring. Strikers Glenn Murray (Brighton) - Has great pedigree at this level, and is pining for a return up north. Right down our street. Leon Clarke (Sheff Weds) - Bit part player for them, would be a first choicer for us. May be pushing it getting him but I certainly think he'd be better off with us rather than benchwarming over there. Midfielders Jason Demetriou (Orient) - Superb creative midfielder at this level playing in a poor side. Looked class in both games against us this season setting up one and scoring another. Dean Moxey (Exeter) - May be hard to get now as it looks like Exeter will get promotion but a brilliant left winger, very highly rated. Defenders Mark Hudson (Charlton) - Was on loan with us as a youngster about the time Dowie left and looked class. Charlton are on offload mode so would be a perfect time to get in and make an offer. May be on biggish bucks but given Charlton's predicament why can't we take advantage of things like this?
jsslatic
based on what???? give some kind of reason as to why not Just on what I've seen and heard of them. Jason Demetriou (Orient) - Superb creative midfielder at this level playing in a poor side. Looked class in both games against us this season setting up one and scoring another. Thank you! If I could be arsed I'd prove I've been suggesting moving for Demetriou for the last couple of years! Quality player. Him on right wing, Tayls on the left...awesome. opinions4u
I don't really know enough about them. It has crossed my mind that Peterborough have perhaps relied on Man Utd's scouting network over the last couple of seasons .... "these guys are good son, but not good enough for us ..." If Joe can tap in to some of that then who knows what we'll see come in over the summer.

Tom_Bombadil
Kay to Huddersfield. Done deal. Has already turned down Tranmere. His agent has players at Hudders, they'll better his wages and he's a local lad.

BP1960
Joe's track record suggests to me he will go for young eager players on the fringe of the first team squad, and very good experienced players who are languishing in the reserves at a higher level. I also think he would go for a more aggressive type of player than we have seen from the previous regime.
