oafcprozac
Good. He's a feckin :censored:. I thought we looked a much tighter unit witgout him earlier in the summer. If he's not making big scores what use is he?
Horlicks
He is our best batter by a country mile and a test match average of 50 shows this. Despite being injured he has still made a couple of decent scores but the achilies injury has obviously affected his batting. He is arogant and he would score even more runs if he had a better mentality ( ie Ricky Pontings ) but the aussies will be delighted he is missing. We are not blessed with many candidates to replace him but I think we will call up Bell and put him in at number 3 and move Bopara to 4. Hometownclub
He definately needed to go and get it properly sorted, its been a problem for a long time now. England will miss him, but Bell looks the natural replacement.

Stranger things have happened, how's he doing domestically, I know his bonce goes when he goes abroad but surely he coul;d cope for three games at home? If not Bell i s'pose... Trescothick coming back would be a great call for me, he is playing well domestically aswell and has made plenty of runs. However I think he has burnt all his bridges with the ECB, so can't really see it happening.

leeslover
More chance of Harmison getting sleep without his teddy bear than of Trescothick coming back. He really really doesn't want to.

Hometownclub
did he? i must have missed that! i bet he wouldnt have scored that many with Anderson and Flintoff playing! Yeah, he made 106. I'm sure you're right he wouldn't, but don't get me started on Lancs losing their best players to England.

ritchie82
Bells home ground, he was already in the last squad and he is averaging about 80 this season. If he fails then I'd be looking at Moore (ton in Aus warm up game) or Key for the remainding tests.
