slurms mckenzie
I'd like to nominate Reading at home under Ritchie when we lost 2-1. Can't remember the ref, but I've never been so angry though as that game - they cheated, dived, conned and fouled their way to beating us. I heard that the ref needed an escort out of the ground after the game as there was a lynch mob waiting for him. Can anyone else remember this game? kellys_discopants
Am I the only one who didn't honestly think they were all that bad? Read the posts before posting and you`ll see that no, your not the only one!
Lincoln Blue
We were so good last night that the only way they could stop us was to foul us. Fantastic performance. One of the most enjoyable matches at BP in recent times. How different did the team look to the one that played against Hartlepool?
ghostofcecere
Tbf they werent that dirty, the referee was just very soft and give a free-kick virtually everytime someone fell over, e.g Chris Taylor There were a couple of tasty tackles, but theres a difference between "dirtiest team weve ever played" and just being a physical team! Yep pretty much how I saw it...... in fact a lad I sit with quipped that the ref must have been from Royton

leeslover
Scunny away were awful, as much as anything because they were top of the league at the time and at home yet their whole gameplan from the kickoff was to put 10 men behind the goal and kick us. The game could easily have been called off before half time, and it only got worse when the ref finally started sending them off. And their fans were screaming abuse at our players going down! But I guess like last night (sadly wasn't there) it only makes it all the sweeter when we put one over them anyway.

As I remeber we gave them a footballing lesson in the first half but somehow we were either losing or drawing at half time. Pardew gave them instructions at half time to kick the ef out of us. Pardew refused to shake Ritchies hand afterwards.
Witty
Reminds me of Luton a few seasons back when Blackwell was in charge of them and Reading when they had Pardew, both claimed we were the dirty team, wouldn't surprise me if Ince made it a hattrick. Good to see football won and it was latics playing it. If memory serves me right Taylor nearly ended up in the terraces in the first couple of minutes from a horrendous tackle. Intentions known from the off.

leeslover
he's just a very angry little man. As I said in chat last night, he makes out that it’s tough for black players to get into management yet he was parachuted into a Premiership job ahead of dozens of British and foreign managers with far more experience and success in the game. The odious and ridiculously eyebrowed prick.

John Barnes said the same thing when he got sacked from Celtic, and he clearly deserves to be given a shot at the Premiership once Ferguson retires at Man U. The day of the infamous twice taken pen. Gary Kelly had saved it, but Forrest Gump was penalised for the harshest of encroachments, it's buried and proves to be the winner. Ref that day was one Phil Joslin - a Uni mate of mine is dating his daughter. Can't wait to meet her and tell her, her dad's a tosser! Was that the game when one of our lads was basically rugby tackled in the 6 yard box in injury time and the ref just waved it away? Last night they weren't dirty fouls, just cynical fouls all night. They just wanted to disrupt the game and stop us playing, which didn't work. Thought the ref handled it well.

Richard Graham was the victim again! Deep into injury-time absolute stone-waller. Reading were given their penalty for handball when both Shez's arms were at his side! Last night they weren't dirty fouls, just cynical fouls all night. They just wanted to disrupt the game and stop us playing, which didn't work. Thought the ref handled it well. Just to clarify, i did mean that they were very cynical rather than dirty (although the title suggests otherwise). But there's still no way they should have ended that game with 11 men. Prendy_1984
Indeed! And that was never a booking either! Superb tackle! It was the worse foul in the game. It was wreckless and I cant believe people complained about it.

Well the fact that he clearly won the ball might be a reason why people complained about...
