FC United play Stalybridge today in the competition. normally second to last or last weekend in October, as it's scheduled for 8th November (1st Round) it'll be the 24th October I reckon as the plods need minimum 10 days notice for an FA Cup Tie to take place,
Stevie_J
It'd be lovely to feature on telly again but with Charlton, Leeds, Southampton and Norwich involved, I can't see that happening.
pukka
we'll only be on TV if we get someone like FC united away

FC United play Stalybridge today in the competition. My flatmate at Uni played yesterday for Coventry Sphinx against Bedworth and despite beating Stafford in the last round (3 levels above them) they lost 1-0 so the ideal 1st round draw for me is out the window. Cheltenham or Gloucester away (as local as possible) or a TV game would be ideal for me.
pukka
The fourth qualifying round is 24th October, so it'll be then (after Brighton away) http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitio...dDates0910.aspx

Stitch_KTF
FC United play Stalybridge today in the competition. They drew 3-3. Both Carlos Rocca scored for FC and Matty Barlow for Celtic! Nearly 3000 there and the replay is on Tuesday.
Forte_Baby
final qualifying round before are lot join Still a few local sides Salford City, Altrincham and Stalybridge not as many as last season. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/8302802.stm FA Cup fourth qualifying round draw: Hinckley United v Histon Nuneaton Town v Guiseley/Kendal Town FC Halifax Town v Wrexham Gateshead v Alfreton Town/Southport Workington v Rushden & Diamonds Mansfield Town v Altrincham Buxton/Bradford Park Avenue v Stourbridge/Hucknall Town Salford City/Blyth Spartans v AFC Telford United/Worcester City Ilkeston Town/Eastwood Town v Tamworth Lincoln United/Frickley Athletic v Cambridge United Kettering Town v Redditch United Northwich Victoria v FC United of Manchester/Stalybridge Celtic Barrow v Chester City Kidderminster Harriers v Fleetwood Town York City v Bedworth United Hendon/Ashford Town (Middlesex) v Woking Gloucester City v Lowestoft Town/Sutton Coldfield Town Heybridge Swifts/Farnborough v Salisbury City Truro City/Mangotsfield United v Forest Green Rovers Crawley Town v AFC Wimbledon Oxford City v Bury Town/Bedfont Town Bromley v Ebbsfleet United Chelmsford City v Stevenage Borough Aylesbury v Wealdstone Dover Athletic v Eastleigh Hayes & Yeading United v Staines Town Luton Town v Grays Athletic Oxford United v Thurrock Bath City v AFC Totton Paulton Rovers v Chippenham Town Tooting & Mitcham United v Eastbourne Borough Hampton & Richmond Borough/Aveley v Sutton United
jsslatic
Would really like AFC Wimbledon. That said, it would be nice for the fans in the north to see an away game in their half of the country before December 28th, so maybe not. On the other hand, I'm a selfish barsteward...so Wimbledon away please! EDIT: Failing a game in the capital, somewhere in the East Midlands please, any excuse to get back for a weekend. Notts or Chesterfield away with their Latics connections would be interesting. Edited October 12, 2009 by jsslatic
rudemedic
My pick of that lot would be Gateshead away (for fairly obvious reasons). The FA cup like our league does appear to be Southern heavy- which is weird as its fairly obvious there is a bit of regionalisation in the draw. If I was TTA I'd want FC United at either home/away (is Bury's ground as big as ours)- good gate guaranteed and possibly a bit of TV money. singe
My pick of that lot is the fact Bromley got a home draw v Ebbsfleet. Bromly knocked out my local side at the weekend, so that would have been consider a local(ish for us) derby. A former boss is scout at Ebbsfleet too. Crawley v AFW is a cracker too, used to live very near there so a feew mated there. I want Stalybridge to beat FUM ( I refuse to bow to their deliberately contentious moniker) to get a Cheshire derby with Northwich Halifax v Wrexham is another big guns former league teams game As is Workington v Rushden Alty ahve a tough one Afew others tand out such as big spending Chelmsford v Stevenage
jsslatic
I do think of myself as having a good knowledge of English geography, but I'll have to admit I had to google where Paulton Rovers were. I'm sure BigFin wouldn't mind them away. Are they the lowest ranked side left in the competition?

pukka
Never heard of Bedfont, but Matt O Halloron (he who scored that winner vs Rushden many moons ago) plays for Lincoln United so I'll go for us to play them please.

Frankly Mr Shankly
Draw at home to Salford City That'd be ace, even away. Really enjoyed the friendly we played there last summer.

leeslover
Tooting & Mitcham, Sutton United, AFC Wimbledon, Bromley or Crawley Town. Away.
