Senor_Coconut
Oldham town centre an absolute mess, no gritters to be seen and buses pointing every way but the way they should be, took one look and turned straight back round.
Yard Dog
Blizzard up in Thornham at the minute. Some crazy people still driving about.
DavidCollinge
Heavy snow in Glossop, the main road is passable...just, but all side streets are full of abandoned cars!
Crusoe
Chalk Farm, just outside Camden Town - nothing. Not a snowy sausage. Some ice on the quieter roads, bugger all beyond that.
leeslover
No snow over Balham, just very cold. I have adopted a policy of imitating the Gregan Strut when walking outside, it gives amazing balance in icy conditions.

leeslover
Just don't go strutting down to the chippy. You ouldn't want to whip it out in this weather, but if you did, it would only be common sense to get the blood floing in it.

Max Damage
Was walking on the main rochdale/Oldham road at Thornham today and the lack of snowploughs ALL DAY is an utter disgrace but typical of the pillocks in the council. Apart from that its fantastic out there!!!
Yard Dog
Was walking on the main rochdale/Oldham road at Thornham today and the lack of snowploughs ALL DAY is an utter disgrace but typical of the pillocks in the council. Apart from that its fantastic out there!!! I live in Thornham and have seen 3 today. 2 from Oldham and 1 from Rochdale. leeslover
seeing a lady friend in Clowne today Would it be too rude to enquire about her pocket?
Max Damage
Well they did a crap job because that road was a mess today and had no signs of a snowplough along it. Maybe they forgot to put the plough down!!! Was in thornham around 1'ish with no sign of anything been done and then Royton at 3'ish with again no sign of anything being done

Zorrro
Bleedin' Nora. Croydon's come to a chuffing standstill because there's a bit of slush. Took three times as long as usual to get home.
leeslover
Bleedin' Nora. Croydon's come to a chuffing standstill because there's a bit of slush. Took three times as long as usual to get home. It was absolutely hammering down for a couple of hours over central Stabville, with the biggest snowflakes I have ever seen. God knows how I didn't hilariously slip walking to the station, it was like an ice rink. I made a point of drinking a cold beer on my walk back from Balham station, just to show the Southerners how hard I am.
Zorrro
It's madness. I got to East Croydon at 7pm, anticipating getting a train to South Croydon within 10 minutes MAX and being home and warm by 7.15pm, only to find every train delayed (there was an Eastbourne train on the departure board that had been due at 5.35pm and still hadn't arrived), all the buses running about two hours late, and a queue for taxis about half a mile long. I managed to jump on a 466 (only going to Purley; Caterham can get knotted, evidently) which took about 30 minutes to get to the bleedin' Skylark! And I had a big, fat, smelly woman stood next to me. I gagged. Awful. She had that horrible sweet-sweaty smell about her.

Yard Dog
Blizzards up town before. Now stopped, but a healthy covering on my lawn in Royton.
Diego_Sideburns
For the first time this winter we've got proper snow, rather than just a light covering, causing postponement of a trip to Oldham.

garcon
The lightest of splatterings here in Cheshire, starting to melt already. May get more in Oldham, but it should be gone by tonight.
