BP1960
Bo Antal, an 18 year old 6' 7" Hungarian keeper has been released today by Watford, might be worth bringing in to join the contingent of fellow countrymen at BP? Has anyone seen him in action ?

longtimeblue
Harsh as it sounds, without knowing owt about this keeper I'd sooner have him in net on Satuday than Brill. Edited December 31, 2009 by longtimeblue
LaticsPete
Bit like Trotman then... Trotman was known. Assessed by Philiskirk. And certainly not thrown straight into our first team. So a lot unlike Trotman!

He might be known and assessed by our Hungarian staff for all we know. Who said anything about playing in the first team?

jorvik_latic
Why else have him? Oh yeah, I forgot. We only ever sign players to play them straight away.

BP1960
Why else have him? He could be brought in as part of the Hungarian development squad.
Crusoe
He could be brought in as part of the Hungarian development squad. What would be the point of that? That's just a cute name for whatever deal with have with MTK to blood their youngsters and put them in the shop window (nice mixed metaphor there, I know). If this keeper was to come in he'd just be another member of the squad. I don't see any harm in giving him a trial, but that's about all - nothing to suggest he'd definitely be a better choice than Brill (or even Ollerenshaw). LaticsPete
Oh yeah, I forgot. We only ever sign players to play them straight away. But why sign an unknown 18 year old when as has been pointed out there's Ollerenshaw? Fine if he's been identified as a prospect by someone at the club but on the basis of a posting on a message board ??? I doubt if BP1960 has seen him play..but will eat humble pie if he has.
