lancy lad
How bloody typical is it that Stockport have made 5 decent loan signings to play and will obviously feature against us? Sorry I dont know how to attach the link but they are on the official site now!

Butter
All 5 are better than the majority we signed in the summer. No wonder they didnt want the game on!
garcon
However, since 1 Jan they have sold two players, sent a third on loan back to where he came and offloaded two loanees. So at best they've replaced what they had, and I'd be surprised if any of these loanees are as good as Oli Johnson or Carl Baker.
Blue_Pizza
Perkins, Jabo, Johnson, Partridge. some very good signings there.

oafcprozac
Owtb once again first for your football news and rumour And conveniently they are waiting until 1pm on the day of the game before inspecting the pitch for the Swindon game... Something smells fishy...and i'm not talking about the contents of Baldrick's apple crumble!
rudemedic
I know in the FA cup there is a rule that says you have to be at the club and properly registered as such for the first scheduled game to play in any replay- is there a rule about this for the League as I don't think the Hatters signed them in time did they. thelaticsfan
I hope not, if not then we can probably challenge the FA about eligiblilty off the players, especially as the pitch inspection was brought forward at stockports request, when all signs showed it would be better weather and still on the day after, they obviously played sneakily

Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Since we dicked MKDon's first team I'm not too worried about a few of their reserve players playing for Stockport.

singe
And whilst almost everyone is assuming the worst, no one has stated that it might actually give us time to be able to sign some loan players too. And maybe ship out the odd lead weight too. Chin Up chaps.
Forte_Baby
Jemal Johnson can be ok on his day.

Chin Up chaps. like who and who are we going to ship out exactly...hardly brimming with players are we it all stunk to high heaven when they called the inspection early.....at the very least i hope the club contact the fa over this matter,i still think we will beat them but its the principle. IT did stink Ed, and the default first option would be play it then every time, they were there for the taking. But this thread is about their loan signing, and the vast majority writing us off. F.O.B.
If these league 1 loanees aren't already playing regular first team football are they better than what we have?
losesome
like who and who are we going to ship out exactly...hardly brimming with players are we it all stunk to high heaven when they called the inspection early.....at the very least i hope the club contact the fa over this matter,i still think we will beat them but its the principle. Alan Hardy already said that if he'd been in the office at the time he would have pushed the FA to delay the pitch inspection until Sat am. So why didn't somebody at Latics do it in his absence !! If they did what was the result. All too late now and once again Latics have been stung !!! Edited January 19, 2010 by losesome
singe
This is dodgy, and the problem is aLan has opned up the question, who did agree to the postponement? The big question is do we call this Edgely PArk gate, Blue Pizza Gate, Hardy gate, Snow gate, Sale Sharks gate or what.

Fryatt's Bald Head
Didn't Dave Penney attend the pitch inspection? Why did he not voice his concerns about an early inspection?
JohnnyPimp
Didn't Dave Penney attend the pitch inspection? Why did he not voice his concerns about an early inspection? He did but the referee's decision was final. It strikes me that the inspection was on a Friday to allow Stockport a little financial manouvrability with the loan signings that have just gone through. It would not have surprised me if some of these players had joined them on the Friday, IF the game had been deemed playable or the referee had deferred his decision to the Saturday morning.
