Life on mars? read the financial lines instead. TTA won't be leaving with a bean if Failsworth happens. They'd get far more selling BP land and running leaving the ground isolated. They'd have made even more doing it 6 years ago by doing a sale of the land in advance of expiry of the 10 year "sports use" condition. Bet they'd have got £16-20m for it and could have run off with £10m in their pockets. Council? Well the whole miller thing was a joke I predicted to a mate a few years back, he's a chancer, maybe something darker, but they had no idea what they were doing - no surprise there. I wonder if the new borough solicitor is more clued up? This deal is more about 300 houses on BP x £1k a year council tax + a shed load of extra jobs and business rates at Failsworth.
