STOP SHOUTING!!!!

Agitated :ranting:

It's my 700+ post under a different named password secured user these days....

Check the Ritchie report out (post riots) that will tell you why the council back the move, they need the land.

Amazingly, the cultural Grange school is moving onto Broadway Royton, wonder who will get the houses?

We'll get the shiny ground, TTA cash and abandon the sinking ship

Okaaaaay

Now, calm down and do the sums.

1. How will TTA get the "cash"?

2. How will OMBC buy the land without the counciltaxpayer knowing?

Oh and what is your username supposed to mean? seems a bit of a bizarre ref to latics.

I got the shotgun, you got the briefcase - It's from TV.

I don't pretend to know the figures, but read between the lines re the move.

The council can't be trusted with anything see Vance Miller

It's a new debate, more interesting that watching Penney send us down.

Do you concur the ship is afloat? Or share my view it's sinking?

My god, you've seen the light & we are agreeing lol

Yeah, bygones be bygones and all that - life's too short!

We're agreeing alright, I suppose I've been like this since the Lookers came down - this post from Phill has got me thinking about exactly how much trouble the Good Ship Oldham Athletic is really in.

Read it here if you haven't already.... http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=27998

Don't get the first line ?? Life on mars?

read the financial lines instead. TTA won't be leaving with a bean if Failsworth happens. They'd get far more selling BP land and running leaving the ground isolated. They'd have made even more doing it 6 years ago by doing a sale of the land in advance of expiry of the 10 year "sports use" condition. Bet they'd have got £16-20m for it and could have run off with £10m in their pockets.

Council? Well the whole miller thing was a joke I predicted to a mate a few years back, he's a chancer, maybe something darker, but they had no idea what they were doing - no surprise there. I wonder if the new borough solicitor is more clued up? This deal is more about 300 houses on BP x £1k a year council tax + a shed load of extra jobs and business rates at Failsworth. Nice little budget gap filled there.

Debate? We won't go down.

Wash your mouth out!

It is from The Wire. I take it you haven't seen it, if you had you would have got the reference. As you haven't seen it, shame on you! The first television novel and it deserves to be watched if you haven't already seen it.

Amazon reviews are not the be all and end all but to get 79 5-star reviews out of 87 is unlike anything I have seen, usually you get people complaining that the postman was wearing a blue shirt.
