shefflatic
is that training has been cancelled tomorrow and a news conference called for 10am...may all be rubbish as per but 2 people with reasonably reliable sources have both said training is cancelled. shefflatic
to add to it, Penney has apparently rung the players personally to inform them it is cancelled Ritchie in til may is doing the rounds.....(would prefer gannon, but if TTA want to boost crowds immidiately then i suppose andy is the 1st choice)
Latics4Ever
I've just text a couple of people who may know if this is true or not (1 a journalist and 1 a member of staff at Latics). If I hear anything back tonight I'll post it on here.

ste1987
Would prefer Gannon over Ritchie to be honest. Need to get out of the habit of looking to the past when the going gets tough..

davebuckley06
i would take ritchie back today. and can hardly say its lookin to the past to bring us glory his time as manager was hardly trophy filled was it. he did a good job with us with little money did an even better job at barnsley with little money and then refused to spend money when it came available and at least he will bring a bit of passion back to the club an maybe instill a bit into the players. talking at the game on saturday and nobody disagreed. think the majority of current fans and a lot of the stayaways would be happy with him back in
JohnnyPimp
After watching DP stay on the pitch to shake all the players hands after a 0-1 defeat suggested to me that he knew his fate was sealed.

On the positive side, it will up the attendances. Maybe stating "the past" regarding my earlier post was too generic on reflection, but I don't think Ritchie in particular would be the right appointment. I would have Dowie back like a shot til the end of the season, but I'd be even more surprised if he took it.
