Zorrro
I can confirm that, after a quick jaunt down to the shop for a Picnic and a packet of Monster Munch, it's tipping it down in South West London.

garcon
Does a few puddles really matter, given that the ball will more than likely spend most of the time in the air?
losesome
i live in Stockport and yes it has been pouring all day ., BUT only what was forecast last night. Why didn't they have covers on ?? The league have to question Stockports intentions after this. Not that difficult to keep pitch dry for a night .

ghostofcecere
what a stupid comment if the rugby dont play on the same pitch, does that mean it wont rain on it ever again? Not stupid at all or flippant to wind up the 'yeds fans (as is suggested further on)...... it doesn't matter what game is played on the pitch, football, rugby, hockey, lacrosse, over use ruins a pitch, and anything like a bit of adverse weather results in games being called off. FACT!
garcon
If the pitch is already likely to suffer from waterlogging probably the worst sport you can play on it is rugby union. Those scrums can make a proper mess of it - much more so than playing rugby league. Presumably it'll only be a matter of time before Sale Sharks try to stop Stockport County playing there to protect their pitch.
