steveoafc
So with the building work on the executive car park at BP imminent, would there still be room for a replacement 'chaddy end' if the failsworth project goes tits up, as is quite possible? There has been talk of the developers acquiring the land on the proviso that there won't be a football ground there. Do we have a plan B or are we about to embark on a dangerous and very worrying path? We could become the latest 'travellers' in Oldham. Did the 'frank' discussions with the council recently shed any light on the situation? A lot of unanswered questions and IMO we shouldn't be allowing any building work to begin until our immediate future is safeguarded.
Senor_Coconut
I get the feeling the houses are more in partnership than TTA selling to a developer who expects this and that.

With the club more in mind surely you get your new home secured (planning) then start the housing estate on your own patch. Corney clearly stated that if Failsworth doesn't happen there is no other plan, this is the last one. I am damn sure the builders needed to know if a stadium would be at the side of their development for cost and price reasons. Indeed these for me are dangerous moves. Remember the only promise was for 10 years of football on BP.

Still, a one side stadium is better than none.
Latics_Fanatic
Nice to see they are digging up the pitch already. And they say Rome FAILSWORTH wasnt built in a day.
oafc0000
Still, a one side stadium is better than none. Would save on costs as well... Soon as those house start getting built then BP is finished and its Failsworth or bust... Bust looks likely given the charity commission outcome and the no doubt council backtrack which will come.. Oh well... If the club are good to there word we will be "breaking ground in the spring" Edited March 3, 2010 by oafc0000

BP1960
& we wouldd still have some spare seats ;) But if the big guns played here they would be allocated all the seats - leaving none for Latics fans. On the plus side to that there would be no barracking from home fans

The nearest oil is off the Falklands, one minor problem is it's slightly away from the Borough of Oldham and not on the Metrolink route (yet). Preferable to some though than Failsworth. Didn't that happen a few years ago with an Agentinian invasion of BP led by Christian Colusso ?

Lags
Didn't that happen a few years ago with an Agentinian invasion of BP led by Christian Colusso ? Would that be the 2 million pound rated Christian Colusso? blah blah. That's a quarter of the old proposed new main stand at BP.
