Latics and England
I know these are few and far between this season but as it is one of the seven grounds we didn't visit last season, there's a report from St James Park now available. Diego_Sideburns
The landlord at the Old Fire House pub experienced a conversion on the road to St James' Park. After originally pointing out his no football colours policy, I explained to him the error of his ways and he was converted. We went back in his pub after the game and he could not have been nicer. He insisted on our table having two candles and he allowed in Exeter fans wearing colours. We had a meal and more drinks, eventually gioing downstairs and bumping into NervousTic, oafcTom and the Oasis lads, which delayed our exit by another ninety minutes. Despite Mrs. S breaking a wine glass while waving about her arms, the landlord bought us a round of drinks and said he had learned a lot that day, admitting that he was a 'rugger snob'. He says we're welcome back any time. We were back just in time for the football League show after another memorable day out.
