TheBigDog
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ted/8560652.stm I thought they had a striker crisis at Millwall?
Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Meh, he's pretty crap anyway.
longtimeblue
Could've been price asking his club to give him a get out clause
ste1987
Only proves we are a joke club and cant believe a word we here from BP these days. Feel for Price ...JUST BE STRAIGHT LATICS. Or not that we were shafted by Millwall??...
oafc-latics
maybe the 'one or two complications' were that there was already a deal in place?
Latics_Fanatic
to be honest, i dont see why HallamBlue is blaming the club, Millwall obviously wanted to get him out ASAP and now he's gone to carlisle. Nevermind, plenty more strikers around. OH WAIT, i think we've gone through most of them! Edited March 10, 2010 by Latics_Fanatic
MaskedOwl
Did the official site say that he was needed at Millwall? I thought that was only reported in the chron?
TheBigDog
Did the official site say that he was needed at Millwall? I thought that was only reported in the chron? You are correct - the fishul gave the 'complications' explanation, the 'rarely wrong' gave the injury crisis line.
Latics_Fanatic
Meh, he's pretty crap anyway. Was too similar style to Abbott, Nardiello was the style of player we need!
RobOAFC
maybe the 'one or two complications' were that there was already a deal in place? He said that he wanted to carry on at latics, so obviously penney didnt want him to stay as millwall are all for letting him go
rudemedic
Has anyone thought the complications could have been because Millwall were unhappy we had signed Nardiello on loan and so pulled the plug on Price? If I was Millwall and I'd loaned someone to a club in the same division I'd be annoyed to then find out that same club had just loaned someone else. If you're sending a youngster down a level to get experience you care if they play. If you're getting a 32 year old bit-part player off your books you just don't want to be paying them (hence the immediate move to Carlisle!). Ackey
I think that's what he meant Why would Millwall be annoyed we'd signed Nardiello as long as we were paying Price?
Bring Back Ronnie Moore
I think that's what he meant Rudemedic was implying that Millwall give a shít whether Price played or not. The Nardiello signing would not bother Millwall at all....for the reasons Ackey stated.
Lags
Said it in another thread more likely Blackpool insisted DN played.

johnny punkster
"Due to one or two complications Latics have decided not to extend the loan of Jason Price for a second month." latics dumped him for reasons not being disclosed. ...but who knows whats true these days there? I think the likelyhood is Millwall wanted us to pay a higher percentage of his wages than we had done for the initial month and we either didn't want to or couldn't afford it. Carlisle probably came in offering to contribute more than us, hence he ahs gone there and we have had to give up on him. All speculation of course. LaticsPete
+1 getting tedious. Possibly, but don't be too hard on yourself.
tangerinedreams
SSN reported Tuesday afternoon that Oldham didn't want to sign him, that was the only reason given, no mention of any complications.
Wardie
According to the 'Chron, we had another striker lined up (Brandy seems to be the consensus opinion) who rejected the move on Tuesday. He probably informed Latics of the rejection decision after the decision to let Price return to Millwall.
Roger Ritchie
Millwall priced us out. Boom Boom
