garcon
The wikipedia story was planted by TTA to bring Gary Megson's agent to the negotiating table. You are an evil man.

Lookers_Carl
Methinks someone dropped a bollock big time putting Bunn at 16/
ritchie82
I would imagine a back page story saying he is in for it and the following bets from people who read it have seen his price fall. I doubt he is going to be anywhere near getting the job. Rumours are he isn't even on the shortlist. He has no experiance of league 1, running a club on a tight budget or being a manager. Gray is more qualified for the post than Bunn and would be a cheaper choice. (I want Gannon and would prefer Bunn to Gray) If Dowie is on the back page of tonights chron saying he is applying his odds will drop as well. If 16/1 tempted enough numptys to lay £20 on him then it was probably a great move to have him that high. I think its Gannon or Speed if they want to spend a bit on the squad if not, and its just cutbacks with no outlay, it will be Gray sadly. 3 Lions
Gannon was hot favourite on back page of the Chron two days ago and his odds have gone from 5-2 to 3-1? The Bunn story was published last week and up until yesterday, you could still get 6/1. Gary Speed is still 20/1.... Personally I think Gannon is waiting on the Stockport situation (D-Day is tomorrow I think?). If they come out of administration, I see him going back. I wouldn't take the chrons word to the bookies. Bunn was 16/1 around the time the chron ran his advert. I would like to think Speed is in the hat but I think finance would have a huge bearing on that. The more I think about it the more I think we will be stuck with Gray. LaticsLegend
Brian McClair and Mark Crossley now in at 12's, must have applied then? Is there any other bookies offering the market?
oafcprozac
Brian McClair and Mark Crossley now in at 12's, must have applied then? Is there any other bookies offering the market? McClair's interesting - learnt his trade but could he cope with a sow's ear type budget? Crossley always talked a lot of sense when he was here so could be a possibility. Still Frankie Bunn for me. Butt not sure but he'll have contacts, again could he work with nitto? But as I said last week I'd have a sneaky punt for Southgate, won't happen but I'd someone of his ilk here, could do both parties a massive favour
LaticsLegend
McClair would be on a fair wedge with United as youth academy director. Wouldn't be at all suprised if Crossley wants it. I'd be happy with Bunn, Butt or Speed at this stage, would love to see the shortlist though.
rudemedic
McClair would be on a fair wedge with United as youth academy director. McClair may be on a decent wedge as United's academy director but maybe he wants to move into management and that will mean a club at our level (can't see him getting a job higher) with our pay structure. I can't think of too many clubs in the championship, nevermind the Premiership who gave an untried manager their first job who wasn't already at the club. Lookers_Carl
I think McClair would be a superb appointment, but can't see it happening unfortunately.

oafcprozac
John barnes also had contacts.. Yeah but he had to admit defeat and go back to bi-focals! Somehow I get the idea that Nicky Butt is not as up his own arse and as incompetent as Barnes was, I mean who's stupid enough to appoint McAteer as his number two? And Anyone with half a brain wouldn't have touched Barnes with a barge pole after being the catalyst behind the headline...'Super Caley go ballistic celtic are atrocious!' And he's (Butt's) been managed by Fergie, Bruce, Souness etc.. i'm sure he took a lot on board.

shefflatic
gannon is the man for me but would have no qualms with frankie getting it, would support him and he certainly has coaching level experience. Butt would be a dodgy choice, but as seen with eddie howe at b'mouth you never know, would give him a chance.
