jsslatic
Who's been messing with my serious poll? I mean to not even include Dele Adebola... And who voted for that pile of sh*t Andy Ritchie? That was meant as a joke option. Edited July 29, 2010 by jsslatic
JonesyOAFC
Lets see which player has the most excuses for being poor / average. Lewis Alessandra must lead the field here after the last couple of replies - aw poor lad has no confidence - yawn!!!!!! He can either play or he can't. Before I can recognise a player as being "Good", he must have had a consistant run in the team and performed noticeably well - in a similar manner in fact to Chris Taylor the season before last. Alessandra has played no more than 4 or 5 good games for us, Eaves has played in 1 (and a friendly at that). Under "my" criteria, Eaves and Alessandra (although lesser so the latter as he has been around for a while now) fall mainly in the "has potential" category, but still have a long long way to go to move into the "Good" or great category. My conclusion is, if we are offered good money for either player, (or more realistically, good money for Eaves) then we should take it. Good money for a player that can't be guaranteed a regular place and has had one great match is an offer too good to be refused ...... Eaves is an 18 year old who is yet to start a competitive game, and was used mainly as a sub last season in one of the least attacking teams in the division. I'm not quite sure what you could have expected of him up to this point I'm sick of us letting players go as soon as a bid comes in. How about keeping one for a change and seeing how he turns out? I'd rather have a promising youngster over yet another journeyman striker anyday...

Stitch_KTF
And who voted for that pile of sh*t Andy Ritchie? That was meant as a joke option. Are you taking the piss? Besides, who the is Roger Palmer when he's at home? Apparently he did a half-time draw last season but I've never heard of him.

It's like Fabian Yantorno, just a mythical figure whose claims of apparent existence are perpetuated by people 'in on the joke'. Roger Palmer did not do the half time draw. I was there. You were there. It's our responsibility to tell future generations the truth.

latic12345
After last night how many would put Eaves in their top three Latics strikers of all time? Oh dear. Josh had a few (3 max) and has 'done an Allan'...

Hmmm, mine was tongue-in-cheek, other people's DW claims were made earnestly. Now if it was Colbeck we were talking about... Besides, as is often pointed out, if I'd had three I'd be asleep somewhere covered in pie and thus be nowhere near a laptop Edited July 29, 2010 by jsslatic
