Hope im wrong like... Edited August 7, 2010 by Gaz_Oafc
Macca
With Eaves having a 5 year deal we're in no rush to sell him if the price isn't right. There's 20+ days of the transfer window remaining as well so there's no rush. Think we can safely say that Eaves won't be a Latics player for too much longer. creepy
its saying to me that these clubs are close to a figure we would accept with him not being in the squad
Lookers_Carl
Harsh fact is Simon Blitz is no longer putting his money into the club. If someone comes in with a bid of 400k plus I think he will be gone

Wardie
The timing of this release is abysmal even by latics standards. EMPHASIS should be on team POSITIVE vibes and Tranmere game. Shocking!!! Have to agree with you 100% This could have waited...I am more interested in any team news in the build up to the game.

GlossopLatic
I have emailed Alan Hardy re this as just another poor bit of PR and whoever releases the articles needs to have a think about the timing. IF its true and Sunderland should make the two new lads part of the deal as its clear M'Voto not in plans at Sunderland. Of course they could be already.....lol According to The Times part of the loan deal with the 2 from Sunderland gives them first refusal on Tom Eaves

OLDHAMADE
Why have we been in League 1 for all these years? Here lies the problem! you get young players coming through who are the future lifeblood of the club and they show some promise then you lose em and we end up going backwards, Hope the lad sees sense and sticks with P.D and Latics until he's fully fledged

If we get an offer good enough then sell him.
opinions4u
The timing of this release is abysmal even by latics standards. EMPHASIS should be on team POSITIVE vibes and Tranmere game. Shocking!!! I think transfer windows make things that little bit more difficult to time to perfection. I still thing a striker who's never scored a competitive first team goal is worth selling for a significant 6 figure fee.

100milesaway
If you were a carpet fitter, and someone asked you to leave the company that employed you and go and fit carpets for his company, and he would pay you 10 times more than you get now what would you do?. RobOAFC
If you were a carpet fitter, and someone asked you to leave the company that employed you and go and fit carpets for his company, and he would pay you 10 times more than you get now what would you do?. Yes BUT there is a few differences. Like Eaves would be stuck in the reserves, maybe making the occasional squad if he went to a prem league side (apart from Blackpool) Would you rather sit in the reserves making the occasional squad and be playing more regularly? Especially when only 17/18 ?
