opinions4u
http://www.cafc.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=36480 Jarrett could end up with a longer ban for that.
Stevie_J
Parkinson's a cock, trying to talk it up. "..could have hit a girl or lady in the crowd..." It didn't though, did it? Not that I'm excusing it. Stupid thing to do.
biggie21
just hope he doesn't get punished for that

opinions4u
just hope he doesn't get punished for that No problem if Gregan's back to match fitness. Hopefully any subsequent ban will be imposed this week and only be one extra match ... the JPT game.
opinions4u
what happened? To quote Parkinson: "The lad got himself in more trouble by booting the ball towards our bench. It might have missed the bench and hit a young girl or lady in the crowd. You can't do that. When you get sent off, you have to take your punishment and get off the pitch." LaticsChris
Dickov: Jarrett red was harsh. "Jason's reaction was just one of frustration. He's been fantastic for us." http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/21082010/63/...-red-harsh.html Sounds to me Parkinson's certainly trying to talk it up. The article in the link says JJ threw the ball, yet Parkinson's saying he booted it. Its a good job we didn't win or he'd be accusing him of deliberately aiming for the old dear on the front row with a hot bovril. Its been said before on here tonight and i'll say it again: the fact that opposition managers and players are getting frustrated by us can only be a good thing as it means we're not letting them have it their way for a single minute. Lets hope it continues.
opinions4u
To be fair to Parkinson, his references to the match itself are rather respectful of Latics' efforts.
nava
He smashed the ball at Parkinson (good effort aswell, could teach Pav a thing or two with accuracy like that) after their bench all jumped up and was basically begging the ref to send him off, for what seemed like two players colliding of the ball. Silly thing to do but you can understand his frustration. Loved it as soon as there bench started chasing him Dickov, Taggart, Gerrard and Dux were straight after their bench. No contest who the winner would be there.
davewattuk
From what I could see Jarrett give a dubious free kick away and the ref was not going to take any further action until Parkinson ran out shouting he'd already been booked. The ref then decided to show him a second yellow. And the ball was definitely booted at Parkinson. Will wait to see the replay but thought Parkinson was out of order!! robboman
Jarrett should of nutted him! He should never of been sent off and their players went down like a sack of **** everytime he challenged them...
Latics_Fanatic
Parkinson is a , there was nothing in the challenge to recieve a yellow card, Jarrett should have kicked his head in! danoafc
http://www.cafc.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=36480 Just seen it. Didn't think it was a yellow and I'm not a bit surprised that Jarrett was upset. He should have ripped Parkinsons head off!
oafcprozac
Just seen it. Didn't think it was a yellow and I'm not a bit surprised that Jarrett was upset. He should have ripped Parkinsons head off! How the hell can they claim he 'smashed' the ball at the bench? It was a petulant flick at best with the power of a wet fart at worst. Bunch of soft southern nancies.
opinions4u
Can you appeal a second yellow? Piss poor decision to send him off, and as for the ball-kicking incident .... kick Parkinson's balls next time Jason.
oafcprozac
I doubt the ref was even going to give a free kick until Parkinson came flying off the bench. Shades of the krauts in Turin 1990 and Gazza's booking - 'perfetic'....
rosa
"The lad got himself in more trouble by booting the ball towards our bench. Yeah it was a daft reaction but 1. from the first look on the highlights it was never a booking 2. he hardly belted it, Hazell's exocet into the crowd at Tranmere was far more dangerous and 3. f**k off with the "oh won't somebody think of the women and children?" histrionics, you just sound stupid. JoeLatics
Honestly, I thought that he'd hit it at like 100s of mph into the manager's face or something, he barely even touched it! Never a foul, never mind a 2nd yellow, shame we can't appeal that.

24hoursfromtulsehill
Basically: the ref is an idiot for sending JJ off for a nothing challenge. Parkinson and the rest of the Charlton bench are idiots for begging the ref for a second yellow for JJ. And they have a great deal to be ashamed of besides. JJ needs to spend the week in shooting practice. To misquote Brian Clough: for missing the target from that distance, JJ, you want bloody shooting.
