Are they out of administration yet, as that year must be running out?

They're out of admin, but they haven't got a pot to pi$$ in. There is talk of a new council funded / owned stadium but that would still be sharing with the egg chasers.

Seen them twice this season. Defensively very shaky, very little in the midfield and a half decent striker on loan from Plymouth (Donelley) who gets naff all service.

The manager's son Jake Simpson can cross a ball, Glennon in goal is good ebough for that level and Williams at full back (who scored for Huddersfield at BP last season) looked composed enough. The rest, poor.

Whereas my previous visits to Edgeley Park have shown a side who entertain, I think it's fair to say that last season and this season they are truly dire. Penney might actually be the right manager for them from a defensive perspective. They need organising and they could probably have done worse than invest in Gregan's wage bill for 3 months.

They were very good at trying to sell programmes and lottery tickets to those attending matches though!

Crowd wise they're still getting more through the door than Latics. Which shames the people of Oldham given the improvements to football at BP this season.

Stockport really are City fans' second team though, however when you've been through the amount of grief they have - you gain siege mentality. We had it for two seasons, then everyone spat their dummies out over Ronnie's top ten ten finish after two seasons of struggling. The club's never really recovered and in those four years since Ronnie leaving we've had four managers, those that got their way have stayed away anyway....
