NIKI1234
Mvoto gone back due to the injury that will keep him out for several months. Big blow, we now have no recognised back up at CB with Dickov releasing Jarrett today

Big blow, we now have no recognised back up at CB with Dickov releasing Jarrett today I would imagine Dickov must have something in the pipeline if he has let Jarrett go as well. Either that or cutting back and relying on youth. Maybe Tarkowski?

NIKI1234
Very strange decision... someone else coming in? do you mean letting jarret go? Sunderland terminated the loan due to the injury, sounds like hes out for the rest of the season so no use to us
Lags
Or realisation after the 6-0 we are going no where and the boats now being pulled in. Hoping it's more like PD been told to off load to freshen things up with new.
lancy lad
Very strange decision... someone else coming in? Obviously not a strange decision on our part as surely Sunderland will pay his wages while he cant play football. I would have thought PD will look to bring someone else in for cover! Tommy_Fent
maybe this is why we brought in Amos, it didn't look good when he went down against Rochdale when the club doctor had to come on to assist
beag_teeets
Not sure it is that strange, he is crocked and it is usual for crocked loan players to go back to their parent clubs just like Lewis did when he was on loan. I would see this more as Sunderland recalling him than us sending him back. No point him being here if he can't get on the pitch, I'm sure our medical team have enough to do without nursing a player that isn't even ours. I would have him back here in a shot though, one of our best players this season, if there is anyway we can sign him, after a thorough medical then I would do so. oafc-latics
Article seems to say that Sunderland took him back.. in that case Latics had no choice in the matter they did have a recall-clause in january so if he wasn't going to play and they rate him for the future, they'll want to give him the best attention. in which case, sunderland will have better facilities than us. good player and if we could get him back on loan/permanent next season, then it'd be great. If he's out for several months we might as well use the £500 a week elsewhere, I fear for Tonk now as I'm sure in their unveiling article it stated they would be living together and keeping one another company. It could be hard on the lad unless he socialises with his other team-meates. There's McDonald still I suppose, but I hope we have other possibilities in the pipeline as Trotman is hardly known for his injury free record... NIKI1234
He's not really a central defender and with respect to him not good enough anywhere else either... He looked pretty comfortable there first few games, certainly better than he looked in midfield at Accrington... I think from that game on Dickov knew he wasnt going to renew his contract

Roger Ritchie
Hopefully Tonks won't get too lonely now. I've got a GCSE in French if the club are looking for a new centreback. Plus with Jarrett going it means Ruben is king pin yet again. Gregan might come back. GREEEEEEEEEEEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
Takemeanywhere
He's not really a central defender and with respect to him not good enough anywhere else either... If Tarkowski aint a central defender, then what is he? That's where he plays and he's a far better centre-half than full-back. That said, if we were going to go for youth, then Rod McDonald and Matty D Carr are ahead of him in the queue, imo.

Killens_physio
I might be wrong but thought he meant Jarrett! I think he meant Tarkowski, but by the sounds of it from Ackey you could apply it to both of them!
PlayItLivo
There's only one player who will suffice at a time like this. SEAN GREGAN COME ON DOWN! Trotman + Gregan at the back is a centre back pairing made in heaven.

jsslatic
Step up Matty D Carr. Hand forced but more money saved on wages on a side which will not make the playoffs anyway. Save the money, pay the bills. Keep up the entertaining football but let's not waste money.
PlayItLivo
Either way he's crocked for several months. I doubt we want an injured player belonging to another club on our books likewise I'm sure Sunderland would rather have him at their gaff to recover given they have better facilities.
