I remember watching Oldham v Stockport reserves, we were 4-0 up at half-time, (Davies hat-trick), they brought baker on and we couldnt get the ball off him, ended up scoring a 2nd half hat-trick. He'd do awesoem with u but no chance of affording him. Playershare would be worth it to contribute towards his wages if we got him on loan. Would be a good signing, especially playing in the role which Taylor has been playing (just off the striker) he'd bag a fair few. But I think other teams would be interested if he was available. Coventry midfielder Carl Baker is a loan target for Sheffield Wednesday and Oldham. If it's a loan deal, and he has the two choices of Wednesday and Latics, he may consider himself more likely to play games under Dickov and prefer the geography. Maybe my first response was hasty? Think he was the player PD was going on about when in an early season interview he said - " all potential signings (even loan players) are assessed for their personality as well to see if they would fit into the group we have. Some , although good players we feel would upset the dressing room atmosphere we are building and if that's the case , as a recent enquiry for one player proved , then we would not sign him" Think long term PD is going to prove a very astute and capable manager that will see him at a much higher level , hopefully with latics !!!
