Hometownclub
We've had some absolute crap over the years, most of them already mentioned. Of the current crop, Feeney is absolutely shocking as is Reid and Todd.
OldhamSheridan
Leave me out of it please. I'm sure he'd love to, but you are undoubtedly 'it'. Came with a good if slightly over the hill reputation (cup final and all that), but was a half arsed liability in everything he did.

slurms mckenzie
A couple of mentions for Alan Smart. A good call in view of the big fee we paid. I remember Smart and Reeves our strikeforce away at Blackpool and someone near me saying "The best strikeforce we've had since Ritchie and Marshall". JoeP
Paul Beevers Special prize for the poster who can name who said the quote "The final piece of the Oldham Athletic promotion jigsaw". Edging my bets, I'd say Ritchie, Urmson or Duxbury.....

BlueJazzer
For me it would have to be the injury prone alien headed record signing Ian Olney.
Roger Ritchie
Michael Ricketts. How often do you get an England International still in his 20's at a League One club. He did nothing. Absolutely nothing.

oafcprozac
top scorere in his first season - not that disappointing Agree, I'm always mystified by the lack of recognition Olney gets from his time at BP. He played half a relegation battle season up front on his own, and the service he was getting was bloody awful given that we were relying on the hot and cold Adams, and the more restrained (Than Holden) Brennan. Olney had been signed to play off Sharp but after he was injured in December he had to take on the lone striking role and an awful lot of responsibility for a relatively young lad. Despite that he scored 13 goals in all competitions, including a memorable late brace v Leeds and three goals in the three 'Great Escape Games', in addition he played a pivotal role the night we beat United, running himself into the ground and holding the ball up superbly.
