Diego_Sideburns Posted March 25, 2011 Share Posted March 25, 2011 The Soccer Savings (free shirt) promotion, arranged through the Skipton Building Society, has seen Latics become the most successful club in respect of its fans’ investments, with the Society's Oldham branch being the top performer for new customers since ther launch of these accounts. At last a bit of good news in these dire times, do I hear you say? Ah but, remember this is unlucky Oldham Athletic Nil, we’re talking about and nothing is ever simple and straight forward. Skipton Building Society has only gone and decided to discontinue all Soccer savings accounts! Investors will be sent a letter explaining their options. The good news is investors will still get the free shirt. The Club will still get its bonuses from those accounts, which I would think will be next to nothing with termination happening so soon after commencement.
