help_shiny
Club and ground should never ever be separated. It never leads to good things. And anyone who supports the idea should have a small pointy rock knocked against the top of their head every four or five seconds for as long as it takes them to see sense. NIKI1234
We don't .... Yes we do, every other Saturday we have people paying money to us, we are also selling season tickets at the moment for cash. Its just then the money goes to pay expenditures. Just like Bradford.

oafc-latics
how can a club with a fanbase like bradford and a stadium like valley parade be close to administration in L2? they should be at least a championship side so something has to be wrong with the way they're run. oafc0000
They have money how can a club with a fanbase like bradford and a stadium like valley parade be close to administration in L2? they should be at least a championship side so something has to be wrong with the way they're run. Like most football clubs they need to pay out more than they bring in... In their case they are having to find £1.3 million a season just for a place to play... That won't be leaving much extra for all the other costs they face... And if you think about the numbers Latics churn over... You can quickly see why they are in trouble even with their crowds. I suppose it shows how grateful we should be to Blitz for us being at BP rent free... Edited April 15, 2011 by oafc0000

Valley Parade Yes and this money is going to the ex chairmans pension fund and a property company. Instead of looking to move to another stadium, they should be looking at raising money to buy back the ground.

Admin - Should never be an easy option odsal-the ground Clowns running the circus What happens to VP if we leave? That's more like it; their scheme of cheap season tickets backfired as everybody bought one and after that nobody would spend any money at the ground - the majority of their matchday income came from away fans. The "Season Ticket For Life" thingy that they ran a few seasons ago went the same way - sold some for, I don't know £15,000 or whatever it was, and then scrapped them without honouring the life of the ticket. They are a financial and commercial joke to such a point that it makes Futherwood Road look like :censored:ing Wall Street.

Matt
Won't we be soon? That's irrelevant. Bradford have not got the money you say they have, they've probably got a damn sight less to be fair. And we've got rock-all.
PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
Considering they have such an enviable support base at the level of football at which they play, you have say that (in order to be in such financial difficulties) Bradford must be one very poorly run club. Not someone talking out of his arse - although that has it's shock value, I grant you - but dicking fans for 15k (or whatever). Outrageous. I always thought their cheap ticket scheme was a winner but seems I'm badly wrong. For once.

opinions4u
Surely thats illegal..? Depends on the terms and conditions. But I'd expect any T&C that said "we can back out when we feel like it" would be ruled unfair if challenged in court. Whether there was a CVA after they went in to administration and season ticket holders were treated as creditors - that would be different (and probably legal). The 2002 CVA paid 10p in the £. No idea about the 2004 one. Edited April 15, 2011 by opinions4u
Matt
Not heard about the failure to honour season tickets for life at Bradford. Can anybody provide a link? THIS YEARS TICKET DEALS: 25 YEAR SEASON TICKET HOLDERS We are pleased to offer once more a special package to supporters with 25 Year Season Tickets. 25 Year Season Ticket Holders can enjoy twenty-three league matches AND their choice of Supporters' Suite for just £110 Adults or £55 children aged 15 and under (Bantams Bar, McCall, Hendrie or Patron's Suites)." So in actual fact, they are reneging on the original ticket deal, by offering a cut-price season tickets to original holders of the 25-year season ticket. It's little more than a discount voucher now - well, when all said and done, if the original 25-year ticket holders buy the offer of the discounted ticket, they're buying it twice...... http://www.claretandbanter.com/showthread.php/14327-25-year-season-ticket-holders
