Lovenkrands Nolan both scored th goals to secure promotion against sheff united in a 2-1 win and carroll and routledge scored the two against plymouth and the actual answer is no-one, they were promoted after another team failed to win they day before the Newcastle game. The year after we did, ironic, as we won promotion there the year before. Yes, indeed the Toon won it in '93 a whole year after the Prem had begun.
