oldhamoafc
Finds out this week if he has a future at derby, i reckon he will be gone. One question, if we could find the wage, would you have him back?

PlayItLivo
No. He's been riddled with injuries at Derby. Wouldn't surprise me if he's not long off retirement.

Ackey
Proof if there was ever any needed that whilst what he did was callous and left a bad taste he did it knowing what we did when we had him - he's not got a long career ahead of him and probably had very genuine concerns about maximising his income. Forte_Baby
Was a great player but we cannot keep looking at past players. Last thing we need is a player who will spend most his time on the physio table. Would offer him a pay as you play deal if he proved his fitness. Screwed us for a big signing on fee but probably significantly lower wages than he would have got at a Championship club. The guy's a c**t with the IQ of a door. Dave_Og
Amazing really that more people appear to feel more strongly about an indiviudal who just utilised established rules to his own advantage, sensibly in anything approaching a real world, than do about someone like Hughes. Hometownclub
Wouldn't have him back TBH, not because he screwed us over, but because he would be way too expensive given his injury prone status, if he misses half a season as usual, we would have blown a massive part of our budget on a passenger. PlayItLivo
They also forget what we did to Paul Warne. Indeed, told he had a contract waiting for him at the end of the season in Feb or summat then found out it wasn't there. I remember him saying he drove to the car park of B&Q and cried his heart out. He did everything to earn a new deal and given how much we relied on loanees in that next season he definitely could have done a job. lancy lad
Boo hiss, fans love to personally hate players for wanting to better their short careers I for one dont have a problem with players wanting to further their short careers and understand that we are a selling club and always will be. What does get my goat is a player who is crap for his first 2 years and coming good in the 3rd and last year and then making the club a promise that he will resign, only to then leave and pocket himself lots of dosh whilst cheating his club out of any possible fee. Like I said I hope he ends up in non league, after all he had a good wedge in that signing on fee.

To suddenly go all houses of parliament “here here to that”. He’d want / expect massive wages for our level – and that in itself is a huge gamble to play with a player so injury prone as Porter; regardless of the fact he sold us out in taking advantage of a loop hole for personal gain. Amazing really that more people appear to feel more strongly about an indiviudal who just utilised established rules to his own advantage, sensibly in anything approaching a real world, than do about someone like Hughes. As for Hughes; always was a really bad egg; still is & always will be. What he did to that man & his family should never be forgotten by those who blindly cheered ‘Hughesy Hughesy’ all the time.
