Delfer
Just read that Oldham's most famous landlord is coming home..............thoughts? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13617924.stm
Crusoe
Wouldn't be my choice. Too old, probably too expensive. Much rather see us investing in promising and ambitious young players.

Haribo_man
Scholes goes out on a high and still a class act - Fowler washed up 7 years ago No comparison

oafcprozac
Scholes goes out on a high and still a class act - Fowler washed up 7 14 years ago No comparison His last decent season was 96/97…he was forever a bit parter once Owen burst onto the scene, he was ok at Leeds but bloody awful at City, wasn't trusted on his return to Liverpool to play regularly, barely played for Cardiff and has been :censored:e down under, given he's 36, i'd steer well clear. I can see him going to Tranmere…sad that he was burnt out before he hit his mid-20s...

PlayItLivo
Fowler and Feeney both slow and over the hill. Less than 7 goals a season between 'em if it happens.

Forte_Baby
From what I read Fowler looking to get into coaching rather than playing.
oafc-latics
anyone's second best to getting scholes, and we've already got our past-it striker in feeney. wouldnt mind him as a coach like bury did last season though

Do we know if he was good? What contribution did he make to their promotion?

apple
they scored goals And did before he arrived ...he's an inexperienced coach without a real track record . Dickov is learning on the job , can we afford the luxury of Fowler doing the same?

Dickov is learning on the job , can we afford the luxury of Fowler doing the same? im not saying we should definitely sign him but maybe the reason we didnt score many goals last season wasnt just down to the players... and another person who knows how to score and wants to go into coaching could be a good thing.
