Stevie_J
After the terrible recent incident in Kenya will travel restrictions to certain areas now apply ? Good question. I don't know what the intended destination (within Kenya) is but hopefully further from the Somali border than that.
oafc_lover
Ste do you know if it's a funded trip or if you say for it yourself? Would love to go over and do some building as I'm garbage at football!
astottie
Ste do you know if it's a funded trip or if you say for it yourself? Would love to go over and do some building as I'm garbage at football! Have had a very quick look at this as my 19yo was very interested. It looks like it costs each applicant just short of £2000 to go for the fortnight with around £500 of that going to the Latics community prog. There seems to be a suggestion that you get people to sponsor you to go. She's looked at the website of the company that organises it and it seems if you go directly through them it's around £600 but she's not sure this includes the airfare ( and obviously the Latics comm prog doesn't benefit). She's still quite interested but will have to look into it more.
