jsslatic
Club losing about 10-12k a week, was 60k when they took over. Was speaking to the administrator of Palace the other week (just by chance, not in relation to us) and he said amazing thing about Latics is don't owe money to any creditors. Matty Appleby was on £3,500 a week when they came in. Standard of players on £2k a week at the time now being paid less than £400/week. Latics_Fanatic
12k a week losses Club in a much better position than 2003 when we were losing 60k a week.. Couldn't jusitfy the wages when they first came on, average players on 3.5k/4k a week - Matty Appleby mentioned

BP1960
SC wants him and his partners to be remembered as nice guys who did their best for the club, even if not the smartest or richest. SC and to some extent his associates have brought the Latics through possibly the countries worst financial depression in living memory. I think we should all be grateful but for his work the Latics could well now be a North West Counties league club. oafc1955
As always, no bull:censored:, just a straight talking honest interview. He says they haven't always been correct and that they have made mistakes along the way but the club is in a far healthier state than when they arrived. Apart from the money given by Blitz the club has no outstanding creditors and is far better off than the majority in the division. Simon Blitz could force a land sale at BP to get his money back but won't and will not see the club suffer. The total money they have invested in the club is in the region of 16 million!! Anybody who listened to that and still has issues with Simon Corney or TTA must be very hard to please!

Have they already got buyers for these houses because if not who in their right mind would want to buy a house next to a stadium thats going to be a building site for the next 10 years. I know i would'nt.

Latics_Fanatic
Anything on the future ownership structure of the football club? The lease for Boundary Park? When the stand will get built? What £2m buys us? New investors? If Simon Corney were to walk out tomorrow then the club would be fine and wouldn't be forced to fold, we'd just have to sell some players, cut the squad by 5/6 players and he says it would probably mean relegation. He also said he would step away from the club tomorrow if he was sure that the right investor came in for the club, but he would like to stay around to oversee the development as it's like his project he's worked on for 6 years! Good interview and has made me feel more confident with the club after hearing it!

JoeP
Who is, the club, blitz or him? Think he said for him and Blitz - hopes to make £4 million to recoup some of the £16 million spent. The first council he dealt with sounded typically backward - immediatly assumed he was an outsider with plans to make money off the land. Said if TTA were just building developers, they were the worst building developers in the world! Said stability in this division was an achievment on it's own - said clubs like Swindon and Stockport spent more money and are now in a worst position. Reckons if Latics were where Stockport are now, we probably would go out of business. It was a good interview. Says he's willing to see the club through to being self-financing, but would be willing to step aside should the right person come along, but wasn't willing to waste all the work he's put in by giving it to someone who would just run it into the ground. Deserves our support, I reckon!
