Dave_Og
Chesterfield board "taking steps to resolve the situation" When a club is bottom of the table it would be hard for a manager to read that statement with any optimism. astottie
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16180102.stm this would suggest different but if not teatime today a home defeat to Walsall might mean gone by Saturday teatime and the next game is Hudds away so i think you are reading those runes correctly. Lookers_Carl
Safe to say League 1 has come as a bit of a culture shock to them, and many of their fans seemed to think they had a divine right to be up there challenging for the playoffs this season. Have had a look at their board from time to time and from what I can gather, they don't rate Fleming in the slightest, Allott also come in for some stick, and they put the blame for where they are squarely with the management team for not replacing Smalley and Davies, two of the most important players in their promotion season. grim
My bro is engaged to a Chesterfield season ticket holder,as he points out to her they are still one place higher in the league than they were all last season!!
opinions4u
The side they have now appears to be slightly weaker than the one they had last season. Makes it tough when you're playing at a higher level.
