lancy lad
We will beat them tomorrow and then we need not worry any longer! Anyone going?
TheBigDog
I am going. I am hopeful. I am also a realist... Wycombe are fighting for their lives and are playing well at home - it will be a hard fought game and I just hope that the team steps up tomorrow. Just get the basics right and we have a chance. philliggi
If we dont lose ill take that as a good result cos it then means they have to go to sheffield or charlton and win for us to go down

Wycombe are fighting for their lives and are playing well at home - it will be a hard fought game and I just hope that the team steps up tomorrow. Just get the basics right and we have a chance. We've only lost four of the thirteen games played against the sides in the dogfight (i.e. less than 50 points so far). Easy.
OldhamSheridan
Wycombe won't win another game after us all season and we'll stay up by default (Charlton, Werdnesday and Notts County are their games - they are stuffed).
jbrown23
Ever the optimist, i actually think we'll get a result on Saturday! They took a right hounding at Chesterfield who hadn't exactly been in sparkling form on Monday and, even though we lost 3-0, i felt we always looked in the game until the 2nd went in (a good 2/3s of the match) against a team chasing automatic promotion. sure our lack of goals is worrying but we did create some decent chances against Sheff Wed, albeit the killer instinct wasn't there. Trying to be optimistic, these runs don't last forever and I don't see why our luck won't turn at wycombe, its as good a place as any! they've shipped 32 goals at home this season (despite them being good at home....) which is only beaten by Rochale (35), Yeovil and Prestion (both 32) so they aren't exactly solid defensively. As long as the boys are up for it and we manage a full 90minutes of concentration at the back (big ask i know!) then I confident we'll do it this weekend, then we can put all this relegation nonsense to bed and start dreaming of a late push at the play-offs........ singe
OK positives 2003/04 Lg1: Wycombe 2 Oldham 5 Stuart Bevon 63 on target 24 off target 22 goals Shefki Kuqi 46 on target, 45 off target 16 goals. So the goals per shot ratio is almost identical, the number of shots similar its just that Beavon has been on target more often. So the difference is obvious. On Vital Footballs some interesting stats about our strike force http://www.wycombe.v...le.asp?a=279259 Oldham Shooting (Top-3) - All Competitions Shefki Kuqi..........46 on-target...45 off-target...2 against woodwork Chris Taylor.........33 on-target...37 off-target...1 against woodwork Robbie Simpson...30 on-target...38 off-target...3 against woodwork Wycombe Shooting (Top-3) - All Competitions Stuart Beavon......63 on-target...24 off-target...0 against woodwork Joel Grant............18 on-target...13 off-target...0 against woodwork Stuart Lewis.........14 on-target...17 off-target...1 against woodwork Shooting (Club) - League Games Only Oldham......191 on target...235 off target...9 against w'work (Rank-16) Wycombe...198 on target...182 off target...6 against w'work (Rank-21) Read more: http://www.wycombe.v...9#ixzz1rv4GtajF Edited April 13, 2012 by singe

slystallone
We can't score. We can't defend properly. The run surely has to end soon? They can't defend. They are erratic in front of goal. Who Knows with them? As it was the score the last time I went to Wycombe; I'm going for a 5 - 2 scoreline. I just can't work out in favour of which team!!!!! Fingers & everything else crossed we get the point mimimum out of this game; and that sees us sorted. 3 points would be massive. I just can't continplate another loss & what that will do to the league position, the confidence of the side & us fans..... Come on lads....!!!!! bluehobbit
Reading some of the wycombe posts after the chesterfield deafeat they seem to think they are doomed. It seems odd when thier form isnt bad at all. 4-0 is a thrashing but they are decent at home - with the way we are playing though i think a draw is on the cards
