I booked train to pompey via webshop and it was cheaper than trainline who i usually use. I also plan to book my hotel through it in the next few days

The Trainline is also on PlayerShare WebShop but they charge fees for credit card etc.

The WebShop link to Virgin is best for all.

Never done brentford before, so maybe looking at going down on the train and then staying over for a night on the town..........wise move or not ?

O4U is the route you've booked the easiest ?..........looking to stay near the ground and centre.

I think it's the easiest, but other ways of doing it.

Brentford's a fair bit out of what I'd call central London though. So the one time I did it we got back into the centre and stayed in a hotel in Leicester Square.

This time it's into Euston, then use a zone 4 travel pass linked to family railcard to get to ground and back. Staying near Euston this time and then travelling back on the Sunday lunch time. Might pay the £15 to upgrade to first class for the journey home as a treat. Might also see We Will Rock You next to Tottenham Court Road too!

Another £2.22 commission via Virgin today.

It's a dump near the ground, look to stay nearer to Euston, will also save you he bother of carrying your bags around. Use http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/ to find out how you can get about from hotels you might find.
