laticsrblue
I see the council have had approval from the planning committee for development of the Lancaster club land. Application: http://openlylocal.com/planning_applications/969785-Planning-Application-PA-332371-12-Lancaster-club-Broadway-Fails- Decision: http://openlylocal.c...Broadway-Fails- Was the approval of this linked in some way to Latics being able to build the new stand at BP? jsslatic
Would appear that way according to this thread. Latics should now receive the purchase money for the land.
pinevillawill
Fantastic news. If the facts of the other thread are correct, we will receive £400,000 to begin development on top of the £300,000 already received. Well done Oldham Council. (Feels weird saying that...) lancy lad
I wont believe there is a new stand until the first few hundred people are sitting in at 2.45pm on a Sat'dy afternoon!
Twisbrogan
http://planningpa.ol...DHA_DCAPR_47179 Status: Pending Decision? I'd be surprised if someone thought to update the website so soon after decisions being made.

losesome
So all the locals who campaigned against Latics because they didn't want all the extra traffic every 2 weeks are now going to get it every day with a retail centre !!!!!!!

Keepingthe Faith
Basically, This application is an Outline Application for an agreement in principle to do the desired building works. The meeting at which the agreement was made, was held on 20/06/12. The decision made at this meeting will be available to the general public, i.e. us, when the involved parties want us to know! There will be toing and froing and amendments, etc. but once agreed in principle, it means things start moving, investors can move funds about etc. with less fear of it all collapsing into crap Most Applicants engage in both stages of the Planning Process - Outline Planning Permission (OPP) and Detailed Planning Permission (DPP). The reason this is the case is obvious in that it saves the Applicant the expense of having detailed and expensive plans drawn up in advance of the applicant even being aware whether it is even possible to build on the land. It is possible to go straight to an application for Detailed Planning Permission, but be aware of incurring possibly hefty abortive design costs in doing so. Diego_Sideburns
This links to Agenda item 11 for Wednesday’s Planning Committee Meeting. http://committees.ol...er, M35 0DX.pdf It's only an outline planning application, not detailed, which will be submitted in due course. The Recommendations are listed on pages 10-14. The decision on the outline application has not yet been included on the Council’s site. Diego_Sideburns
The rarely-wrong Chron fails to mention that it's only an outline application, but reports that it was approved and the Council is now looking for a partner for the development. http://www.oldham-ch...-lancaster-club
