LaticsPete
Can you put a timeframe on this? e.g in last x years. Much more relevant. Edited June 29, 2012 by LaticsPete

rudemedic
Does the OP mean players who wore that particular number? Or players in certain positions? As if it's the first one then I don't think a player like Kilkenny can be considered as his squad number was always >
razza699
In my personal generation Pogs Charlton Fitz Hall Gregan (would have Hill but gone for Greegs for games played) Eardley Croft Killkenny Wellens Eyres Hughes Winjhard Subs Kelly Porter Bertrand Hill
Lee Sinnott
10. John Eyre. The rest don't matter.
MaskedOwl
what number was Ian Marshall......i name him just for him versatility big fan of Paul Murray or was he just the star of a relegation threatened team? Zorrro
big fan of Paul Murray or was he just the star of a relegation threatened team? I do bang on about him a bit too much but only because I can't believe he often gets overlooked in favour of Kilkenny, Duxbury et al. There's only really Wellens and Sheridan that have been better in the past 15 years.
brad
I would definitely have beckett in the team instead of hughes
Alec1954
Neil Adams or George McVitie before Croft. Alan Groves is worth a shout.

Break The Silence
In my 23 years and counting... 1. Les Pogliacomi (just shades it over Jon Hallworth) 2. Craig Fleming (sorry Dennis but Flem was ace) 3. Neil Pointon (sorry Andy Barlow but Psycho was a legend) 4. Nick Henry (my favourite EVER Latics player, by a country mile...LEGEND!) 5. Richard Jobson (sheer class) 6. Earl Barrett (you'll never beat him ya know) 7. Neil Redfearn (sorry Roger, I hang my head in shame) 8. Andy Ritchie ('nuff said) 9. Ian Marshall (watch my perm) 10. Mike Milligan (ace, loved Mad Jonny Eyre but Spike was quality) 11. Rick Holden (made my Grandad look quick off the mark but what a cross) Edited June 29, 2012 by Break The Silence
L1onheart
1. Andy Goram 2. Denis Irwin 3. Maurice Whittle 4. Ronnie Blair (capt) 5. Paul Futcher 6. Richard Jobson 7. Roger Palmer 8. Andy Ritchie 9. Alan Young 10. Simon Stainrod 11. Alan Groves Sharp didnt even come close to Young and was not fit to lace his boots. In fact, if I was Alan Young, the last thing I would trust Sharp with would be my laces Edited June 30, 2012 by L1onheart
oafcprozac
Maybe I respect your opinion as young, wylde, stainrod and even Quinn et al were all before my time of 'circa '86 but for an all out target man number 9 and an ability to do it at the top level sharp is the outstanding target man I have seen at BP -
