robboman
Each seasons budget needs to be taken into consideration though.. I suspect we don't have that info!
oafcprozac
of course it does but Croft, Slew, Byrne, Mantono et al will not be on peanuts and getting Wes and Simpson to re-sign won't have come cheap. However, looks as though the pot is empty now and if Slew and Tarky miss out at Weekend the bench will be filled with even younger kids. opinions4u
Each seasons budget needs to be taken into consideration though.. I suspect we don't have that info! Compared against other sides in the division at the time. Not simply comparing Dickov had £xx and Sheridan had £yy. We certainly don't have that data. My view? If we don't achieve top half we're underachieving.

GlossopLatic
I reckon if we are looking at win ratios then Mick Wadsworths would be rather high certainly better than the ones mentioned above and he's available

I think we all want more entertainment, goals, wins and less mistakes. My biggest fear is getting rid of PD too early, due to the fans insisting on another quick change and it taking us back several years! oafcprozac
Said all along whilst, I'll call as I see it he gets until Christmas for me. Sadly injuries are already beginning to bite. Maybe using the largest chunk of his budget in gambling on Wesolowski's fitness for the next two years was perhaps a mistake. If Dickov has any wheeler or dealer within him, i'd sell one or two IF we can and use the money to bring bodies in. Extreme, but that's what good managers do. Cisak is a saleable commodity, we've got Bouzy and the kid from Man U. The muted £300k could bring in 2 or 3 bodies to strengthen other areas. oafcprozac
True he's been hot and cold but people will pay for potential. His injury aside and missing a large chunk of pre-season, I thought Boozy had done enough to keep the shirt, but that's another of PD's problems, the regulars walk back into the team, that's not the way to run a football team if the guy in the shirt is doing well, let them continue to prove themselves and let the returnee work harder to regain their place.
